Last Monday before all my kids are in school calls for a cheese + charcuterie board and pool time with friends! 👯♀️ How are you spending your last days of summer break??
Here are 5 things most people don’t know about me: 1 👉🏼 Even though I seem like an extrovert I am actually SUPER introverted. I love my quiet time, I like staying home vs going out, I can count my closest friends on one hand and like it that way. 2 👉🏼 I could eat sushi every single day! I never get sick of it. 🍣 3 👉🏼 I always knew I’d have 2 girls and 1 boy! Before I had kids I even bought our family Christmas stockings and made sure I had theirs because I was certain! I tell the kids this story every Christmas when we hang our stockings. ❤️ 4 👉🏼 I HATE flying ✈️ but LOVE being in new places! If only I could teleport! 5 👉🏼 I was a band geek! I played the clarinet for 8 years and LOVED it! 🤓 . YOUR TURN! Tell me something about you that I’d never guess by visiting your IG! 😀
What surviving the hottest summer EVER in CA history looks like. 🥗 The only time I can cook is early morning or with the AC blasting, so #cobbsalad is on the menu daily! How are you surviving summer?
Emma’s off to high school today. HIGH SCHOOL! I still can’t believe it. I’ve only cried once this morning (so far) but this feeling reminds me of how I felt on her first day of preschool. It’s excitement for her mixed with parental dread for me. Not because she’s a teen going through her high school years, but because she’s almost all grown up. 😢
My favorite way to sandwich! 😍 I used to think I could never go low carb until #thyroid issues forced me to really look at my nutrition. Now, this is life and I love it! Do you lettuce wrap too?
I love the start of a new month! This morning I woke up excited and ready for change. ☀️Setting my intentions is something I do at the beginning of every month. A few of my August intentions are: ✨To continue my #bbg workouts 3x a week + yoga 3x a week ✨To finish Romans and 1&2 Corinthians ✨To start tongue scraping! Weird, I know, but I’m super excited 😜 ✨To look for ways to serve someone outside my family daily ✨To travel to one place new Do you set monthly intentions?? I’d love to hear some of yours! 💗
Sometimes you need to tear up the ‘To-do’ list and take a break. Life needs to be more that constant working, planning, adulting. Spontaneous beach trips (see my story) and amazing lattes are the cure for monotony. What do you do to get out of a routine rut?
Simple Saturday breakfast el fresco. What are you looking forward to most this weekend?
