If you're spending time in the gym, I want to help you make the MOST of that time! #trainingtiptuesday Follow these tips for your best workout: 1. Have a plan: instead of doing what feels good each day, follow a structured plan created for your goal. (You can get 7 days of workouts for free at the link in my profile) 2. Lift slowly: the pace of each movement can make a big difference. Try counting 3 seconds on the lifting portion, hold for 1 second, lower for 2 seconds, and 1 second at the bottom 3. Record your weights: track your weights to help you continue challenging your muscles & see results. My clients use the Trainerize app for their workouts. You might also check out JEFIT. You can keep doing what you're doing -- or flip your perspective & look at a new approach! Think about these handstand lessons: 🌟 Don't rush. Take the time to set your alignment & focus on the goal. 🌟 Practice often -- consistency is what leads to results 🌟 Expect to fall. Make adjustments & try again 🌟 Enjoy the process -- if it were easy, you wouldn't feel so great when you nail it!! (Photo from our trip to Beaver Creek this past weekend. Another half marathon in the books! Did you race this weekend?🏃 I was a undertrained for this one, but hoped I could fool my legs into making it happen. I finished, but the last 4 miles weren't pretty. It's amazing how hot 62 can feel at elevation with full sun. ☉☀ Now I'm excited to dial back the distances for a few months & focus on trail running for the rest of the year.

Raise your hand if you've missed a turn in a race?🙌 This morning's @xterraoffroad trail 10K was a tough & beautiful course, but we missed the split for the 5k/10k and ran a half mile before realizing our mistake. Turned around and got back on course - but that turned our race into 7.5 miles. Doh!
