Still waiting on more snow, but it was perfect weather for a run & walking around town. After a few slippery turns on the mountain, we stumbled on a free Apres Prosecco tasting in town. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday. (But I'm REALLY hoping for the ❄winter storm❄ overnight)
There's something about a morning workout. I rarely want to get started, and sometimes it takes until the end to appreciate it, but when I sit down to stretch I feel empowered!! Because belle the day even really starts, I've accomplished something &taken the time to better myself. I've been thing a lot recently about self-care & how important it is to take time for you!! Are you part of the 25%? I'm hoping in this case the answer is NO -- because 25% of people abandon their New Year’s resolutions after just 1 week. But you are AMAZING and you're not giving up, right? Here are some tips to help you stick with it: ✅ WRITE IT DOWN -- seriously, just write down your goal on paper. There's science behind this and it works! ✅ TELL A FRIEND -- not the whole world, but someone who will hold you accountable & encourage you ✅ MEASURE PROGRESS -- so when you're feeling discouraged you can look back and see how far you've come ✅ CHOOSE WISELY -- the people you surround yourself with have a HUGE impact on your outlook & actions. Have you ever felt like this before a workout? It would be AMAZING if shortcuts like this worked - haha!! 🤣 Unfortunately it doesn't - but luckily (or un-luckily), most of your progress with fat loss goals comes from nutrition anyway. That's why we are focusing on goal setting + nutrition planning in the first week of the Healthy Essentials Reset. I love this honesty from @pachaquita about nutrition -- My problem has ALWAYS been that I KNOW what I should be doing, but actually DOING it that is the biggest challenge for me. Tomorrow is the day!! My January Healthy Essentials Reset group is taking on 6 weeks of nutrition & fitness transformation. What a way to start the year!! 👊 I'm going to be joining the group in the gentle cleanse & more structure in my own nutrition plan -- because I could use a little reset myself.
