Are you working hard only to feel like you either can’t catch a break or just can’t keep up?! Do you take it so hard when a potential client goes a different direction or maybe just never responds to you? You could have a million compliments and rave reviews, but that one negative comment is the one that sticks around and makes you feel like throwing in the towel!? Gosh, I know that feeling all too well. As business owners, we tend to get in our own heads and start to devalue what we are doing when one small thing doesn’t go our way! 🖤 Friends, I’m hear to tell you that the work isn’t easy, and there will be hard days, but working with clients who value you and love you is the best thing you can do for your business! Have you heard of the phase “ideal clients”? Of course you have! You are told you need to know your ideal client inside and out...know where they shop and what their style is...while that may work for some people, that’s not the camp I’m in! My ideal client comes to me knowing they want to work with me, dying to see if I’m open for their date and leaves the consult with utmost confidence in how I run a wedding day! 👌🏼 My IDEAL client is laid back, not afraid of logistics and really does want the full #toniechristinebride experience! So friends, stop letting what OTHER people do or what they say about your business, determine how you run yours! DO YOU my friends. Find joy and excitement in your business and run free with your big ideas! #toniechristinebride #toniechristinephotography . . . . . #destinationwedding #pnwedding #justgoshoot #helloelopement #elopementphotographer #destinationweddingphotographer #communityovercompetition #shootandshare #dirtybootsandmessyhair #huffpostido #hprealweddings #elopementcollective #buzzfeedweddimgs #realrawmoments #rfwppi #junebugweddings #photobugcommunity #flashesofdelight #thehappynow #nothingisordinary #justgoshoot #chasinglight #seattlephotographer
When you FIRST started your business, did you think you knew where you would be now? Isn’t it amazing how things change, morph and grow?! Well one thing I didn’t *actually* anticipate was KIDS or launching my newly branded website the very DAY Hastigns was born…. or that I would be launching an online course to help other photographers grow, in the mix of the final weeks of this current pregnancy!! I mean, I always figured I would have children, BUT I didn’t know when or how many etc! I guess I didn’t really know how they would fit into my business dreams and goals and yet here they are…. right SMACK DAB in the middle of it all. 🖤 Trust me when I say I have had haters tell me that my business would not survive or that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with everything once I had a kid…. now they are back saying the same thing again. “Oh man, well she has two now… her business will surely slow down..” Do you hear those voices?! In your own head or from people around you?! I know I do! It’s hard to shut off the self doubt, the opinions others place on YOU and all the chatter… but what I CAN say is… this is YOUR life and you get to do YOU. That’s the beauty of motherhood and owning my own business. I GET TO DO IT MY WAY! 👌🏼 Some days are WAY hard….jam packed with guilt of not responding to emails fast enough or the opposite side of the spectrum where I watch Hastings play contently as I send emails and think “gosh I should be down there wtih her..” But you guys, you CAN have a life, a business, be a great mom, a great wife and passions for other things too! I can’t wait to tell you more about my personal work life balance and so many other goodies coming up! If you want to follow along, just subscribe on my site and you can hear more about how I do and don’t juggle it all ;) Link in Bio to subscribe to the TC Tribe! 🍾 Photo by: @katebecker.mn
Each year after my #toniesfavthings party, I get countless messages and emails from other creatives and photographers that are curious about it! Why I do it, how I get brides to come, how much money I spend on it, how many people attend it and so much more! They tell me they are inspired or want to steal my idea! 🙌🏻 hey, I’m all for elevating the standard of customer service within the wedding industry! 🖤 Here’s the thing: I tell EACH of them....don’t steal my idea...it may not work for you....instead, create a special gift or something super meaningful to you that really represents who YOU are! Gift giving is one of my love languages and so this party has been a natural expression of who I am! 🖤 You can’t create a brand, a business or an overall experience by just redoing what others are already doing! Don’t just buy those presets because they make other people’s photos look good...don’t throw a brides party just because it’s worked for me, don’t shoot a certain way just because an educator has said that’s how they do it! Push your own boundaries...challenge yourself to dig deep and do things that are unique to you and represent you! THATS how you stand out in a sea of your own industry!
