Today's #fridayintroductions comes with some major fail puppy selfies! ππ Hey y'all! I'm Ash, serial entrepreneur, slightly obsessed dog mom (well, obsessed with all animals really!) And wifey (3 years this week, 8 years together this fall...feeling OLD! ππ΅) Let me also share a lesson I learned on this fine Friday...when you're drained from wrestling the technology monsters all week (and most of the summer too) don't let yourself google random things...somehow I ended up on a Wikipedia rabbit trail of looking up Moorish history, rare dog breeds and all sorts of random historical events like wars and revolutions, and cool stories of boss women queens! There went my productive afternoon!! πππ Oops!
Random thoughts today...I truly love minimalism because it's the best way to truly live in a way that allows you to focus on what truly matters. It's not about trends or wearing berks (I hate 'em, theyve made my feet sweat since the 90s so I'll stick with my llbean flip flops thanks! ππ) Being a minimalist is really just about being able to focus on what matters to you and being done with all the shoulds that the world throws at us that just take away from the important. Those things that'll matter when we're cute old grandma's being spicey from our rocking chairs on the front porch! ππ΅ I know it's a buzz word these days, but trust me, it doesn't have to be. It doesn't have to be a trend or something weird. For a long time I avoided the word all together and called myself a medium-ist π PS...After I'm done focusing on something that matters to me (being outside and also reading too!) I'm working on some new videos and blog posts...is there anything surrounding #minimalism that you'd like to see/read about? Or any other topics!? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments! ππ»β€οΈππΌ
I forgot to post the obligatory wedding pic for our 3rd anniversary! πβ€οΈ Here's to year 4 love! ππ #firstlook #anniversary
One thing the refining FIRE of my 20s has taught me... That I'm weird. Like really weird apparently! ππ And I'm very, very okay with this! This weekend we spent time in the city and as fun as travel is, I can never wait to get back to my dog, my little college town, my little backyard full of free stuff we found on the side of the road! Including moving my standing desk from the office to the broken picnic table (also free) which my neighbor did indeed call weird today! πππ I'm also insanely weird to most people because just asking the question at social events what do you do? Means 90% of people completely check out at the word entrepreneur because it's scary/confusing/too weird to actually listen to the full answer...and again, it's been a long road, but I'm finally OK with that!! To some, I'm weird but to me that means I'm ruthlessly intentional. To me it means what you see, is what you get. I'm open about not liking cities but absolutely loving my little Stars Hallow with all it's quirky neighbors (LITERALLY y'all!! π) and small town charm. I'm weird because I decided my dream job didn't really exist, so I've created it from scratch! I've also ruthlessly cultivated that dream job to allow me time freedom that a regular job can't provide. And will always continue to do so because eventually babies will come into the picture and that quality will be even more essential! πΆ Bottom line loves? We're all weird, know you're INTENTIONAL type of weird and OWN it to the nine's! This road has been long and hard for me at times, but it's sooooo freeing to learn to own it fully! β€οΈππΌπ #liveintentionally
