#yarnlovechallenge No. 17 & 18 #fiberfriends Nash Island sheep are among my fiber friends thanks to @janistarcroft #gratitude #woolmanager
#yarnlovechallege #happycolor Nothing is happier than shocking pink! Had to get more of @loopymango Merino No.5 - this ball isn't as big as my head like the last one but I'm aiming to get 2 hats anyway. #nofilter
#yarnlovechallege No.15 Family - My Quilliam Grandparents in knit swim suits sometime in the early 1920s.
#yarnlovechallenge No.14 Yarn Love No secret that I love Shetland Wool. @jamiesonsofshetland @thewoolbrokers @uradale_yarn
#yarnlovechallenge No.13 #selfie I'm wearing Heart Cookie mitts - I named them when I was hungry - and the tam using @thewoolbrokers shade 136. Wearing pink to celebrate #valentinesday And to match my pink snow shovel - Made in Maine. Lots of digging out yesterday and challenging dog walking. I'm still playing catch-up with this challenge - only 2 behind! Mitt pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/heart-cookie-mitts
I'm honored to be a small part of @tincanknits new ebook Heart on My Sleeve. I designed the heart motif featured on Alexa Ludeman's colorwork pullover. All proceeds of the book (after Ravelry and PayPal fees) goes to Against Malaria Foundation. The book includes designs from @jojilocat @romidesigns @tanisfiberarts @janerichmond @soveryshannon @bristolivy and @ysolda . So open your heart on Valentine's Day ❤
#yarnlovechallenge No 11 & 12 #travelknitting #progress Thanks to this challenge I finished my @nielanell socks. They have traveled many miles with me. Socks are easy-to-take-along projects but clearly for me that does not always mean progress - I tend to look out the window and daydream instead of knitting.
#yarnlovechallenge #oldeststash @thewoolbrokers discontinued shade 136. It is the perfect blueish-pink for a surprising accent. I used 136 in a favorite tam, Can't write the pattern because no other pink will do. This is all I have left....it must be 25 years old. I also have a full skein of FC49, cornflower blue, in the old 1oz hank. A fine vintage - precious as fine wine. This took me so long to post because I got lost tripping down memory lane as I sorted through my extensive stash. @ellalcgordon @smanson123 there be a 136 revival?
#yarnlovechallenge #tools I usually have my little zippy bag with mismatched dpns, US 2 & 3 mostly. Pencils, an eraser because I always use up the ones on the end. A pink sharpie for signing books. My. Chibi needle case that miraculously survived the house fire, only a little melted. The bent needle for weaving in ends. The wee pink crochet hook with a point on the other end is a great tool for all kinds of things. And it is super cute and makes me very happy. The tiny bird scissors always amuse me because they like to cheep cheep cheep. Maybe I like to make them cheep cheep cheep. A darling guinea pig stitch marker box reminds me it's ok to experiment. Ive had my beloved retractable tape measure and big round calculator for years. I had a identical miniature one but all the numbers wore off. I've misplaced my needle gauge...but it's usually part of the gang of friends.
