I never seem to get around to posting in real time, so here's a February recap: Nash turned 8 and had a special baptism day / Troy and the older two went skiing in Park City while I took the younger two to the desert to help my parents move / We celebrated love day with lots of sugar / Took a few trips to Newport Beach and loved the tribute to the Olympics on Balboa Island / Capped off the month with an epic girls' weekend in La La Land
I'm not on top of much these days, but couldn't break our tradition of designing handmade Valentines. Crew wrapped up Valentine's Day 2018 with his class party today and like most holidays, I'm not sad to see it go!
In the midst of Christmas chaos, we put in back to back 80 degree days at Disneyland. Blake and I finished strong with 27 rides in 10 hours. 👊 He's the only one that can keep up with my pace and his birthday date was the perfect way to cap off our annual pass. We're always sad when our passes expire, but the good news is I won't be filling up your feed with Disney for...well, we'll see how long it lasts. #happyplace #24daysthisyear #wishitwasmore
Blake turned TEN and we celebrated big. He was so surprised when he opened his ticket to an overnight getaway. He was even more in awe that his name was on it. Blake is kind, respectful, hard-working, grateful and repentant and I wish we could celebrate him every weekend.
Haven't done an ounce of Christmas shopping, but I sure liked this Black Friday.
Crew found a hand me down stuffed Pluto and it hasn't left his side for weeks. Meeting the real deal was a dream come true. 💫
Last week it was over 100 degrees and this week it's cold and gloomy. Moral of the story: Do not wait till the last week of October to visit the pumpkin patch. #youwinsomeyoulosesome #californiaproblems
So many pressures on these little guys and I just miss hanging out with them. Sometimes you need a mid-week Disney escape to get you through.
I'm not sure when I became the most behind mom in all the land, but here we are 8 weeks into the school year and we're finally making it official. My baby joined the lineup this year, which means that once a week for two hours, the boys all overlap at school. It's equal parts heartbreaking and exhilarating.
Last week, my baby turned three and I'm still in denial. Here's to cribs and baby swings for as long as possible. #dontgrowup
Woke up today and decided to put off Mondaying for a few hours.
This weekend Troy gave me the best birthday present ever...the gift of time. 24+ hours away to attempt to get caught up on life. I was torn between enjoying the alone time and watching the hurricane footage unfold. It doesn't seem fair that we get to go on enjoying life without skipping a beat. It's a strange mix of gratitude and guilt, but I sure am grateful to go back a little more refreshed to my boys and dry, safe home. I hope they always love each other this much.
Crew has waited years for it to be his turn to play a sport. After all the hype and getting dressed 11 hours in advance...his first practice got lightning-ed out. #itneverrainsincalifornia
I want an ounce of Crew's excitement for life. He's been counting down the sleeps for over a week and was dressed and ready to go at 6am for his first day of preschool.
Sandcastle building is serious around here.
