I set up a little altar area in my new studio the other night, and I'm glad to have some spirit supplies in here now. It feels good and will be a great reminder to take time to pause and tune into myself and my inner voice. I don't do it enough, and it's one of the things that makes the most difference. Funny how we allow useful things to fall away sometimes, isn't it? The good thing is, there's always another chance to begin again. And so I will.
I took a class this morning about how to fire my kiln. I can't even begin to tell you what a dream it will feel like to create a whole bunch of stuff our of clay and fire it in my own studio for the very first time ever. SQUEE!! (Top bowl made by me in a pottery class a couple years ago, turquoise plate made by my friend Caroline Douglas Art (with minimal help from me) about 10 years ago. Bottom plate bought; not made by me or anyone I know.)
It's my birthday today! Please enjoy 28% off everything in my shop today, because I'm in a tiny bit of denial about my real age at the moment and figured it wouldn't hurt anyone to pretend I'm turning 28 again today. 😉 Use code 28AGAIN . Shop link in profile!
Finished! I am really digging this one. She kinda came out of the blue, which is my favorite kind of painting. Deer is all about gentleness and accepting. Perhaps that's the message that she wanted to send to me through this painting? (Be kind to myself and let it flow!)
Biiiiig fabric news coming next week!! Stay tuned!
This is a favorite corner of the collaborative painting Baby C and I are working on. (Can I still call him Baby C even though he's just a month away from being 2 now??) ❤️☺️
