My level of happiness that it is Friday almost matches Ciara’s level of happiness in this photo. Almost.
To my husband on your birthday: You woke up another year older today, but it was another year we had together. This is the 6th birthday we have celebrated together. We have marked your birthday by going restaurants, Top Golf and (once) to a baseball game. But this year – this year is my favorite. It is the first (of many) that we are celebrating as husband and wife. You were an incredible boyfriend. Then, you were a spectacular fiance. But, babe, I think husband is definitely your best title yet. Thank you for traveling with me. For understanding the very real levels of hangry that I go through. For being a great dog parent to Banner and Watson. Thank you for loving me, even when I sometimes cry for no reason. For starting my car on cold mornings. Thank you for being you, because you’re the best person I know. I love you so much. Happy birthday babe. 😘😍
Going to be ordering some prints and photos books from our honeymoon soon, and i am so excited. I love love love seeing photos in print! We ordered some canvases from our wedding and they arrived today and we cannot wait to hang them up this weekend. What do you do with your photos? Albums, prints, photo book? Let me know in the comments!
“My friends call me Kat,” she said as we walked through the field. It was a gorgeous fall day, perfectly suited for this gorgeous girl’s senior photos. The wind ruffled the tops of the trees, but we were safe from the cool breeze. We talked about high school and her activities. “I played softball and I am in the band,” Kat said as we got to our location. The sun was shining through the trees. A few leaves still clung to the branches. More of them littered the ground. The tiny trees, closest to the ground, still held the majority of their pretty, red leaves. I absolutely loved this Higginsville, Mo. fall senior session. 🙂tons of photos over on the blog!
My blog post this morning started off stating “As I sit here drinking my coffee (and eating Poptarts) while a pumpkin pie bakes in the oven (and Justin plays video games) on this Thanksgiving morning, I can't help but reminisce about all the things I am thankful for this year. The dogs are wrestling about, and all is good here on the home front.” Our lives may not be Instagram perfect, but I think they are perfect for us. For that, I am grateful. Head over to the blog to see what all I am thankful for this year. :) Thankful for this Thanksgiving | Thanksgiving 2017 http://kelseyalumbaugh.com/thankful-thanksgiving-thanksgiving-2017/
Their little one should be here soon, and I am so excited to meet him or her. I love the surprise of not knowing, and I am anxious to find out! Spencer and Garrett, thank you for letting me tell a part of your story, and I can’t wait to meet your baby!! 😊 Also - I am training @jbredehoeft as my second shooter and he totally took this photo! I am super impressed. 😊
Now, I know I mentioned that I haven’t changed my last name yet. Changing your name seems like a daunting task. Think about how many things your name is on? Your license and passport are just the tip of the ice burg. Bank accounts, utilities, insurance, all different kinds of subscriptions, the list goes on forever. So, since I had to research and figure out how to change my name, I figured I should go ahead and share all of that with my KA Brides. It’s all over on the blog, so go check it out!
The excitement for their little girl’s arrival was all over their faces. She will be here in 2018. Part of her nursery color scheme will be mint, so Rachel wore a mint dress. And, they already have a name picked out for their sweet babe. (Not going to spoil that, though.) They walk and hold hands, laughing at the uneven ground. They talk about what it will be like when she gets here. Oh, they are going to be great parents. Cody and Rachel, it was amazing to see the two of you together. I love the way you laugh at the same things, and the way you enjoy being with each other. Dexter (their pup) is so cute, and I am so happy you brought him to the session. I hope you both love your photos!! Thank you for letting me be a part of your story.
