Life is hard right now, y’all. There is no pretty way to say it. Each second is spent just trying to keep my head above water. It’s hard to string two words together, let alone worry about getting a perfect insta shot 😲. This has been one of the worst weeks of my life, so no, my food photography is not on point. But photo skills aside - @honeyfirebbq is absolutely worth a visit in Bellevue. The brisket, the sausage, the sides, the peanut butter 🍌 pudding — all a welcome respite from my current situation. Friends, thanks for loving me. I’ll be back soon. 💕
🍜 Have you been in to check out @greenpheasantnash for lunch yet? The bar is a nice spot to belly up and slurp ramen (with a heaping portion of 🌶 chili paste of course) — I did so with my laptop as my date. The shio wontonmen comes with chashu, shrimp wontons, chicken and smoked ham broth, greens, menma, and ajitama. There’s no better comfort food for me than ramen, and I need a whole lot of that right now. #eater #eaternashville #ramen #ramen🍜 #downtownnashville
The west side of town gets a huge win when @hathornenashville opens tonight. Owner @chefjohnstephenson has created a welcoming, beautiful neighborhood restaurant in the former fellowship hall, and the menu, an effort from he and @oversalteverything is impeccably executed. Our #mediadinner began with this crispy goat cheese — with radish, herbs, and house-fermented honey. We also enjoyed plate after plate where vegetables served as equal stars of the show. The sense of fellowship from the building’s roots leaks into the refurbished bright space and easy-to-share plates. Click the link in my profile to see the interior and read more. And check my stories from last night to see allllll of the things we ate.
Just feed me carbs and give me my blanket. 💁🏼♀️❄️ Also, this @pinewoodnashville lunch portion will feed me for three days. Digging all the comfort-inducing vibes of this rigatoni meze with parmigiano broth, mushrooms, mustard greens, and bread crumbs.
Every day, my feed here is filled with row after row of plates of food and cups overflowing. Today, for Giving Tuesday, I’m sharing a picture of an empty plate to symbolize the 1 in 8 Middle Tennesseans who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. 🍽 Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee celebrates Giving Tuesday as Giving Food Day to provide meals for families facing hunger during the holiday season. ❤️ This year they’re hosting a Facebook fundraiser, which you can find at the link in their bio @2harvestmidtn. 🔊 Additionally, Giving Tuesday kicks off their year-end match campaign. That means all donations made on Giving Tuesday will be doubled, so $1 = 8 meals for those in need. This year is their biggest match ever, at $850,000. Please head to @2harvestmidtn bio link to help fill plates this holiday season.
