The girls have found a new way to entertain themselves (make sure your volume is up) 😱😂. Thank you short gut.
Enjoyed a belated birthday visit from Carly's birth dad and his family this afternoon. We're so grateful for the presence of our kids birth families in their lives. #openadoption
Thank you, grandpa, and to all veterans for your service! 🇺🇸
Four years ago TODAY I got to hold little 2 lbs. 4 oz. Carly for the very first time. That moment was so beyond special & important to me because it’s the moment I finally felt I became her mother. Today she had her 4-year-old well child visit and her pediatrician was completely blown away by how well Carly is doing. She’s made it an ENTIRE YEAR without any hospital stays, surgeries, E.R. visits, etc., which is pretty incredible for a child with short gut. This little girl, who we were told a few days after she was born probably wasn’t going to make it, and who has been through SO MUCH, is defying all odds and is doing so miraculously well. At times her progress almost seems too good to be true and I know it may not last forever, but even so, we are beyond grateful for the blessings of health that have been showered down upon our little girl this past year. There is no stopping this little fighter. #shortbowelsyndrome #shortgut
Had a blast celebrating National Adoption Month at Boondocks today with these five adopted kiddos. Love them and all of their birth families so much! 💕
