Never in black and always colour clashing! My wardrobe is 50 shades of navy, burgundy and green no matter what the season and zeitgeist! I have a big meeting tomorrow and rumour goes it’s an all black affair, I’m planning to wear Forrest green! Wish me luck x
If I were to go to fashion week. And I was to get snapped by the street style photographers who these days establish your worth as a blogger (sigh). I would most definitely be running late. Because running late is the story of my life to date! Always. Running. Late
This sits on my bedside table and is one of my fave prints! The world is your oyster ... and so today I’m getting my hair chopped! Because why not! I’ve always had long hair but every now and then I’m ready for a big cut and something new! And today’s the day for something new!
Always happy when Friday comes around! Especially when it includes a dinner date in Soho! Sooo glad to have finally got myself the perfect lesther trouser, if you missed the drama on stories this was my 12th paid purchased, and 12th time lucky. I found the perfect pair twice and both times they broke, one I even reordered and they broke too (the belt loops rip off the leather - hadn’t even worn them), the rest was a battle of mad sizes and tailoring! Finally settled on these and love them! You can shop the whole look including my chosen pair via @liketoknow.it http://liketk.it/2uFnW #liketkit if you have the app simply like or screen shot my pic and you’ll get the items, or use the url and it’ll take you straight to the items (plus as always they’re on my blog too).
I’m a firm believer that valentines shouldn’t just be reserved for valentines! Jase and I have been together nearly ten years now and whilst we are by no means perfect, really no where near haha, there are things we do try to do to make each other happy and things everyone can do to make sure the romance lives on. As a reminder for my relationship as much as anyone’s here’s five things that you shouldn’t just reserve for one day a year: 1. Say I love you more, 2. Don’t reserve gestures for big days, often the little things everyday mean so much more (a cup of tea in bed is the winner), 3. Date night is really important (@jayr_dee we need to get better at this). Even once a month can be so worth it, 4. Be grateful for what you have, 5. Don’t be a dick. Work hard to make each other happy. A relationship is a choice and should bring joy, not grief! Be nice, be caring, don’t take things out on your partner, remember each others feelings, take care over the words you use in tense in moments. Remember to treat each other with respect and love and Don’t take each other for granted.
Really looking to put my health first this year and after a not so top start to 2018 health wise i'm really looking to get my butt in gear, there's only so many migraines I can put up with after all. I've been on the pop pill for such a long time now (I cant go on an oestrogen one because of my migraines), nearing 10 years and whilst I've generally got on with it I can't help but wonder whether taking some time out to live a little more naturally would be a good thing for my body. I've heard so much about @naturalcycles especially through other bloggers experiences, that I thought it was worth exploring what it has to offer. I really like the idea of switching from a pill, to monitoring my own body with daily temperature checks (which is how it works > you can learn more on naturalcycles.com #ad). Have you considered a change up in your contraceptive routine?
Yesterday it was announced in industry press I had been shortlisted by @campaignmagazine & @the__ipa as a ‘Women Of Tomorrow’ in my industry. I’m so unbelievably chuffed, delighted and overwhelmed to have been shortlisted amongst all the incredible women who entered and work in my industry. It’s very rare, in fact this was the first time, I’ve ever said yes when asked to go forward for an award. I find the self PR quite awkward and truthfully the vulnerability putting yourself out there to be judged quite difficult. Fear of failure has always been a thing for me, it’s been a blessing at times and no doubt has helped me achieve what I have in my career to date (I work hard, I swim, and I strive for perfection), but it’s also a curse and most definitely has deterred me from entering other awards I’ve been asked to go for in the past. The feeling of exposing yourself for judgment and someone saying you’re not quite good enough to win is an anxiety ridden grapple I always encounter. So I shy away from it! But on this occasion I decided, because the award was about celebrating and empowering future female leaders (something I am a great advocate and believer of) that I would say yes to submitting an application. I felt safe in the knowledge that only a few people in my company new and they were the ones who’d asked me to do it! Then I found out I got shortlisted. Then it was announced in the industry press, my name amongst a list of incredible women who have achieved great things but more than that, Work to help others, better our industry and believe passionately in the potential of women. I feel so proud, and the love and kind words from all my friends and family, and colleagues alike has been so special. I’m really glad to have said yes. The lesson: accept the fear, nurture the fear, protect the fear, and then crack on with it! What’s the worst that could happen? SHOP THE LOOK >> @liketoknow.it #liketkit http://liketk.it/2uDQe
It seems I may have a penchant for @Gucci, my collection is starting to rival my @chloe tribe which is somewhat scary! Obsessed with my green marmont purse (kinda matchy matchy with my shoulder bag). As always, shop via @liketoknow.it http://liketk.it/2uCVV #liketkit (go to like to know it link, screen shot or like the image to shop on the app, or pop over to mediamarmalade.com where items are all featured too).
Wishing Monday’s commute looked a little more like this, matching vesper and Gucci, rather than a chilly 20 minute wait for the train! Nonetheless the straight leg denim, basic nude knitwear and oversized boyfriend blazer combo is delivering on my office attire needs, and lady @Gucci obviously adds the edge needed to tackle Monday! If you want a slice then you know you can shop my looks via @liketoknow.it #liketkit either by signing up to the app and folllowing me http://liketk.it/2uC0W or checking out my Instagram looks on mediamarmalade.com and shopping by that (these items are also on my shop page which I update with all my new buys). Very welcome x
I have no shame in admitting that Saturday nights in, with a home cooked dinner, a good movie and a little bag of pic n mix is my idea of absolute heaven these days! I actually cherish chill time at home so much right now, whether it’s getting home a tiny bit early from work some days (a miracle when it happens), spending an evening in and getting stuck into a good series or inviting friends over for dinner parties! I’m a grandma and not ashamed to say it 🙌🏻
