Post workout breakfast perfection!! I was just sitting here thinking about how much I absolutely love photographing/ cooking/ talking about/ eating FOOD! As I was wiping the rim of my plate with a kitchen towel (some restaurant habits never die), I was thinking about how I Get to do this. I get to eat heathy. I get to make delicious foods that support my body. I get to share them with other people as my career. I get to workout because I am able bodied enough to do so. I get to work to support and provide for my family... I think you get the picture. I talk a lot on my stories about the difference in mindset it makes when you view things as I get to versus I have to. Today, when you begrudgingly do something in your daily routine (which we will all inevitably do nearly every day), instead of saying or thinking I don't want to... or I have to... try replacing the thought or words with I GET TO... followed by whatever it is you are about to do. I GET to go grocery shopping and buy nutritious foods for my family when others are not able to. I GET to workout and my current and future body will thank me. I GET to do laundry because we can afford to clothe our family and the dirty laundry is a reminder that we live a happy and full life. Okay, it's no secret that I love coffee almost as much as I love dogs. The hashtag #coffeewithchewy says it all. Jon and I both like a really bold dark or espresso roast. But we like it to be smooth, without a burned or bitter aftertaste. We prefer to grind our own beans at home to maximize freshness.
