It’s Monday! What are you going to accomplish today? We’ve got a couple of video conference meetings, some editing to finish up, some preproduction to nail down, and a couple of wedding day timelines to complete! #wevegotthis See our stories ☝🏼 to check out what we were up to yesterday! Time to kick Monday’s butt! 👊🏼
Today, our baby turns two. Two years since we’ve had a newborn. Two years since our family became complete. Two years of so much laughter and fun and joy. Happy birthday baby boy!!
Saturday we headed up to the river for a sweet engagement session with Judy & Todd - and we're in looove!! 😍
Well. Yesterday was a “Monday” kind of Monday. It kicked my butt. I left the house at 7:30am to take the boys to school and run a couple errands, and didn’t get home until 7:30pm. The battery AND the starter on my car both died. 🚙 I don’t always do well having to rely on others for help to just get through my day. But yesterday, because Dan is in Las Vegas for #NAB2018, I had to call people to rescue me. 🚨 And so today, my to-list has yesterday’s items and today’s, and I start again. Grateful for friends and family who drop everything for us. Grateful for my boys who are sweet and flexible and understanding. Grateful for a mechanic who truly cares for our family. Grateful for a life where car trouble was the difficult spot in my week. Happy Tuesday, friends!
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4 . Today a video is playing in our church that Dan had the honor of helping to create. It is a conversation between our pastor and his friend, an African American pastor from across the country. They had an open and candid conversation about the state of our country and how crucial it is to try and see life from another’s perspective. We are called to love and to put others above ourselves. I’ll be the first to admit I sometimes suck at that. It’s easy to get wrapped up in my own life from day to day. . What a privilege it is to be a small part of such a significant conversation.
