I love Friday as I have my ballet class with @bittenherbst teaching and Olga on the piano. Ballet is at Nørre Campus and offered by KSI = Københavns Universitets Studenter Idræt #loveballet #støvpåhjernen #ucoh
This Lime Tiree (lindetræ in Danish) is in the central courtyard of @university_of_copenhagen. Behind it is the oldest building of Copenhagen as it survived as one of the few houses the last two devastating fires where most of the city burned down. Rector Magnificos prof. Henrik Wegener has his office to the left. Outside his office you find a few of the canon balls that Lord Nelson used when he bombed Copenhagen and concurred our fleet in 1807. #cphdust2018 #ucph #historyisamazing @realdarach
Meteorites are pieces of no longer exciting planets. Small planets which early in the history of the solar system collided and got shattered into pieces. Iron meteorites are pieces of the planet iron core. The pallasite, composed of gem-quality olivine crystals embedded in metal and represent the layer between the iron core and the silicate dominated mantel of the planets. The Palle sites are rare and very beautiful. All these meteorites are on display at the Geological Museum on Øster Voldgade 5.
Two dust experts. Professor Susanne Aalto from Chalmers University in Sweden and myself :-) We we’re discussing the origin of dust during coffee brake at #cphdust2018 when this picture was taken by @realdarach #støvpåhjernen #ucph #astrophysicist #womeninstem
Saturn’s rings are made of ice covered dust grains. Dust grains covered by tar and/or ices are essential for building planets in protoplanetary disks. It is still a bit of a mystery how it is possible to build up plants from micron sized grains on a relatively short time scale of 100 million years. At the #cphdust2018 conference this is our topic this morning @university_of_copenhagen #støvpåhjernen #ucph #astrophysicist #cosmicdust
KSI = Copenhagen University Student Sports Organisation is where I do yoga with my amazing trainer @bittenherbst It is so nice to get a brake from my daily research routine and active muscles in my body which I was hardly aware I had. #støvpåhjernen #yogaforlife #cphdust2018 #ucph
