This past September, I had the honor and privilege of walking my baby brother down the aisle for his wedding day. ⠀ ⠀ I wasn’t originally going to do this because I had a newborn, but our sister helped orchestrate this for me and surprised me the week of his wedding for us to have this very special moment.⠀ ⠀ Grooms walking down the aisle has been a newer tradition I have been seeing and I hope it doesn’t go anywhere!
I am not going to lie, I wasn't overly excited about the indoor ceremony location - not because its not gorgeous, but because the outdoor one was so so stunning. ⠀ ⠀ The idea of getting married indoors in Northern Michigan was a foreign concept to me - because outdoors is always that good. ⠀ ⠀ But I am willing to admit - maybe I was wrong on this one because - well, you can see why!⠀ ⠀ Photography: @mmivphoto Floral: @sweetwaterfloral Planning and Design: @compose_events Coordination assistance: @therevelrose

This is my sister, Andrea. She is my best friend and one of the most important people in my life. She inspires me everyday.⠀ ⠀ Missing her wedding this summer was very emotionally difficult for me (granted, giving birth while literally on my way, is a good excuse). ⠀ ⠀ I knew how amazing it was having her stand by me on my wedding day so not being there for her broke my heart. ⠀ ⠀ At every wedding since that I have worked, every time the maid of honor stands to give her speech, my eyes tear up. Every time they place a veil or button a dress, my eyes tear up. Seeing the ladies in their robes, getting hair and make up done, my eyes tear up. I am SO happy my brides are having those amazing experiences but it can feel bittersweet.⠀ ⠀ This weekend, I am taking my sister to NYC. We are going to explore and ice skate and shop and eat and drink. There are so many lifelong memories we missed out on (for the best reason possible) so I am so excited to create new ones with her! ⠀ ⠀ To my brides - cherish your moments with your bridal party on your wedding day. Laugh with them, hug them, enjoy their presence. You won’t remember that the caterer forgot a fruit plate or that a rose isn’t perfect, you’ll remember the smiles and happy tears and hugs! ⠀ ⠀ Photography: @katyodellphotography
Styling design details and paper goods is a favorite part of wedding mornings as it’s such a creative process here to work with these items to tell a story, your love story.⠀ A single image like this may not seem necessary or important, but when combined with the rest of your images, it can really invoke your memory and emotions! ⠀ ⠀ Photography: @kellysweetphoto Styling: @rhiannonbosse #rhiannonbosse1on1
