Enjoying a nice fresh cup of coffee using my newest mug from @magnolia. Love this time of year!!!
Inquiry class is one of my favorite parts of the day! This is our SS/Sci time, and we call it Inquiry because we give the kids a Driving Question, a resource or two, and then let them loose!!! • Today, we talked about the Star-Spangled Banner and when it was written. The goal of the lesson was to identify that Francis Scott Key wrote it during a battle. • While it would have been easy to just tell the kids that’s what happened... it was sooooo much more powerful when they had the control to figure out an answer.
Wise words, Malala. ❤️ 🌎
I really don’t like putting up bulletin boards. This took a lot of “effort” and “time”. • All joking aside.... I adore the theme and the opportunities for the kids to learn all about great mathematicians!
The view from our most popular flexible seat... body pillows!!! #flexibleseating
So excited to be prepping @youngteacherlove ‘s Christmas logic packet for my students!!! This is one option for morning work, and our kids really love the puzzles.
Christmas Carol Field Trip!!!
When we have MakerSpace Time in our classroom, I still have some kids who need some guidance on what to make. This kiddo, however, makes something impressive every single time. This contraption turned out to be wings so he could fly home.
