HAPPY PILATES DAY! Here’s 5 different versions of the popular Pilates exercise ‘clam’. This works muscles in the side & back of the hip to provide stability across the pelvis. Starting with the most basic level, swipe for progressions. Great exercise for walking, running, hopping, skipping and most everyday movements. 🐣 HAPPY EASTER 🐣 Easter egg balance challenge 🍫 swipe across for the 5 Pilates exercises explained below. Balance your choice of 🥚 on your lower back whilst holding a good 4-point kneeling position with a neutral spine and; 1. Practice pelvic floor squeezes X5 2. Plank prep - hover your knees a couple of inches off the floor, lower & repeat X4 3. Superman - extend 1 arm in front & opposite leg behind, lower & repeat X3 on each side 4. Plank prep with marching - as in #2, plus kick alternating heel to bottom X2 on each leg 5. Superman plus reach - once opposite arm & leg in the air, reach them both out to a diagonal before returning to the floor X1 each side The key to completing this challenge is your #pelvicfloor & its a great way to earn your chocolate eggs 😋 #easter #challenge #pilates #39weekspregnant #wellness
