Today’s Vinyasa class was good, really good. Afterwards my mat had puddles of how much I sweated. It also left my hip quite opened and I was almost able to leave my leg behind my head. My 8 month progress. In all honesty, it hasn’t been easy to get to this point. Especially during my 5 week holiday, visiting family, and not having my regular gym and yoga studio. Even now that I’m back at home I do struggled to hit the gym when my night sleep was cut thanks to my teething baby. But I also believe that if you set your mind for a goal, you must find the way to reach it. My progress looks a bit drastic but that’s only because I was 1 month postpartum back in February and I’m still breastfeeding. I’ve a few friends & followers asking me how I’m able to commit to workout 6 times a week? Well, here are my 4 main reasons why I’m able. 1. Find your support group: My husband, mom, and house helper are a life changing. They looked after the kids while I was at the gym/yoga. 2. Having a program to follow: I first started with @yogoskenz ebook @thefityogitrainer which I completed 3 times. That really set my routine to incorporate the gym every day. Then I used @chrisheria app @thenx Also my husband made me a whole month of workout which was really good. At the moment I just started my first week using @kelseywells PWR program on @sweat app. And last but not least, I do yoga 3 times a week at a studio and a bit everyday at home. 3. A smart watch: Ever since I got it, my workout and lifestyle has changed for the better. Not only it reminds me to stay on track for the day, but it’s a crucial element on my workouts. Best gift ever! 4. Finally, find something that motivates you to workout: For me is a) my own personal health and b) my kids and family. I don’t want to get old and see back at all the things I could had done to have a better health. And with three boys at home, I want to stay active for them, and to shiw them that exercise is part of life, and that women can be strong, fit, have abs, and kick some butts at arm wrestling 🤼♀️ That was long, sorry! Just got back from Hatha 1 class, and felt so grateful for the opportunity of yoga. Yoga can really open your mind, your body, and show you a different part of things you might not see. After class, walking through the busy street at night had a dejavú of my life back in NYC. How I miss that crazy, fun, and diverse city. I’ve been lucky to practice yoga three times this week and the week isn’t even over yet. Even though I do post lots of yoga photos, my gym workout (mostly weight training) is a crucial part of my day. I started practice pull ups, and now is this kind of crunches. Not a pro or an expert either, but sharing to keep track of the progress. xo PS:Tomorrow is Friday!!!

Just a week late, so I’m getting better at posting Rafa’s monthly posts. Surprisedly, Rafa day all by himself or this photo. He wants to be part of everything we do, laughs at anyone, and can’t wait to see his Papa again in September 9th.
