This looked so easy when I saw @sfreneenyc post, and decided to give it a try. Definitely cont easy to balance, but really fun. Leg should be more high up, but I couldn’t this time. More practice and all is coming I know #yogaonholiday #canada
Hey! Sorry my MIA. Just flew the whole family to Canada last Thursday and after 40 hours of travel, lots of jet lag, naps, and workout I am finally able to post again. We are visiting Gavin’s family and enjoying the hot summer time. I miss my life in KL, but it’s lovely to spend time in this side of the world. Few more days in Gavin’s hometown and then heading to the lake and finishing in Toronto
Fun new way that @fredamarcy taught me to lift myself from wheel pose. If feels quite weird to stand up but so surreal to finally be able to do it. Thanks for the “trick” Freda. #yogadaily #wheelpose #yogaeverydamnday #yogagirl #yogajourney
Monday motivation: If you have a goal in life, work for it daily, you will be surprised at what might happen if you try. Happy to see my own yoga journey and realizing I’m in a good path. Of course, with the best of the best @fredamarcy helping me achieve it. Excited to see what happens in the next 5 years, or what happens tomorrow actually or the day after. The ever changing life. #practiceandalliscoming #scorpionpose #yogajourney #progress
Everyone should get a sibling that looks at you the way Matias looks at his little brother 😍 Rafa turned 6 month in just a blink of an eye. He’s growing and laughing everyday. We are crazy in love with him. Also, I posted on my blog (yeah it’s still running) and you can read more about Rafa’s update and more photos.
Playtime after some chest and tricep workout, with @alo.moves to build some strength. Counting down the days to see the family and friends in Canada and USA.
Well the #getstretchyeveryday challenge is over and I didn’t post day 7 on time but I still want to share and finish it strong. Closing pose if Camel. No idea the theme for that day, but just feeling all grateful for this challenge, for my family, my life and the opportunities for the future. Thanks @actionjacquelyn @getstretchy for a fun week.
A bit late by finishing strong with #getstretchyeveryday challenge. Day 6 is crescent pose and theme is Community. I’ve been loving to practice at home, doing online classes when is more convenient for me. But once a week I’m attending a yoga studio for vinyasa flow. At first I felt so alienated to the studio rules, since I haven’t been to one in a long time. After a few weeks on going consistently Ive come to love practicing with others and with an instructor. One part of it, is seeing all the different journeys other yogis are at and learning from their own practice. There’s definitely a great yoga community in IG, but being part of a yoga community in person is something I’m grateful to be part of. @actionjacquelyn @getstretchy
Day 5 #getstretchyeveryday with @actionjacquelyn @getstretchy is Upward Dog and the theme is Why. Why is flexibility something that’s important to me? For me, getting on my mat or to the gym is part of who I am, part of my daily routine. It wasn’t like that a few months ago. But after I noticed the physical and mentally changes I got hooked up and now I can’t go back to my no-exercise life. Stretching my body into asanas teaches me not only about my own body strength and limitations, it also fires up new goals, new challenges, and love for myself.
Day 4 #getstretchyeveryday is Forward Fold and theme’s Letting Go. It is a long struggle for me bed forward with a straight back, and little by little I’m reminding myself to let go of my own limiting beliefs, thoughts that my body can’t do it, and embracing good thoughts of flexibility, opening and capable. Not only we should let go of things that don’t have a purpose in our lives, but also random and unproductive thoughts that blocks our journey to the self😊 @actionjacquelyn @getstretchy
Day 3 of #getstretchyeveryday is Downward Dog and theme is New Perspectives, especially around LOVE. I think self love is one of the hardest love for me to develop. Is so easy to find personal flaws, and bring one down rather than doing the opposite. Rather than behind grateful of a good night sleep, first thing when I wake up is how my dark circles make me look ten years older and how my thin hair has no fix. Developing a good relation with our own body and love it, it is crucial if we plan to give love to others. Need to see the other perspective of everything in life. I’m sure once I see myself as an amazing human being, new ideas, thoughts and possibilities will happen in life. @actionjacquelyn @getstretchy
Very behind on the #getstretchyeveryday challenge but better late than never. Day 2 was warrior 2 pose and getting be power back theme. Personally, getting power back sounds harder than I thought. A lot of times while browsing IG I get discouraged when comparing myself to others. Sometimes that means my own insecurities are blocking me to be my own fullest either in life, at yoga, etc. Warrior 2 reminds me to get back my power of warrior in life, on the mat and to ignore any distractions. @actionjacquelyn @getstretchy
Starting a new 7-day challenge#getstretchyeveryday First day is #treepose and what does to stay grounded is for me.... staying grounded for me is to be able to find inner peace, able to let the distractions flew by while focusing in the right now. A lot of times I’m spending time with my kids, but checking emails, messages, and a lot of stuff that is blocking me from living the present and being present with my kids. Need to ground my priorities and let the rest just pass by. @actionjacquelyn @getstretchy
Its the weekend!!!! Have a great weekend and do some yoga!
Going through IG and saw @adellbridges showing a tutorial of this pose, or a close copy of her pose. I thought it could be easy to do, but it really requires a lot of shoulder balance and leg flexibility. Found another pose to keep practicing and evolve.
Floating Camel. I saw @ania_75 tutorial for this pose, and gave it a try. To be honest, I’m not nearly as good as her, and I don’t know why but this pose terrified me. Probably because is a heart opener pose and I always go a bit easy on them. Oh well, will keep practice it and see what happens. Go check her pose, looks so nice. #floatingcamel.
Better late than never, right? Rafael is 5 months already and in 10 more days he turns 6 🙈He’s growing at lighting speed and if I blink I might miss all his milestones. He is laughing a lot, talking out loud, and still sucking his thumb or both hands at times. Today he was moved to a bigger crib, because his other one was too small for him. I’ll miss co-sleeping with him I know that for sure.
Happy Monday! Here’s a little video on how I get into side crow. Enjoying the progress and struggle to get into this pose. Learned that it is all about the twist and hooking you leg into the arm. Enjoy!
