Last one, I swear! This is the really oversized king quilt that I almost ruined in the wash last year. I had two months to finish it, so it was a challenge. Plus, it's so massive! Quilting was done by @crinklelove, who is amazing and patient! (I sent the wrong sized backing😬--still embarrassed about that one! 😂)
I made this one for my brother. I had the hardest time picking out the backing, but managed to find Angela Walter's Drawn fabric line just in time. My brother's name starts with an S + the curves are an interesting contrast with the geometric front, so it was the perfect find! . I had an awful quilt emergency yesterday, when I pulled this quilt out of the *dryer* and noticed the blue fabric had bled all over the mostly white 119x130 gift quilt that I've spent the last two months working on! 😩 HOWEVER!; After hand washing with Synthrapol and taking a field trip to the washateria for the larger machines (using All Stainlifters Detergent w/ Oxi, 20 Shout Color Catchers and Shout Advanced Gel for tough spots), there is ZERO evidence of the disaster!
