On March 27th, I am super excited to be joining a local team of amazing women to be a part of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build 2019. This nationwide campaign connects women together to make a change in the community for the better by giving low income families a hand up and not a handout. Spreading hugs for #homwork week 6! Can I be honest for a sec? The prompt was to take the phrase ‘Spread love not hate’ and replace ’love’ with something spreadable. My first thought was sriracha (or Nutella or ketchup) but then I saw the INCREDIBLE posts that had already been submitted and got intimidated. I decided to use this assignment to practice my digital illustration instead and am pleasantly pleased with the way these pudgy babes turned out.

Five years ago, I welcomed my first baby girl into this world. (She was the inspiration for Suite P Studio!) I wanted to design something special for her nursery and came up with this print, which represents the Chinese horoscopes of me, my hubby and my baby. I had a million other things I should’ve been doing today but I was so compelled to put this idea to (digital) paper. . When we got home yesterday, I asked Alexa to play ‘Feliz Navidad’.
