I still think about this red velvet couch in Shanai Restaurant. A lot. It's been almost a year since I not-so-subtly took 40 photos if it and I still want it.
I'm not sure how to update my wooden storage chest. I was thinking of painting it black and adding a padded chesterfield-style top, but I'm now stuck and can't think of anything else. If it was yours, what would you do to update it?
Cora slept in her own room for the first time last night which meant I spent the whole night zooming in on the monitor onto her belly to see if she was still breathing. Hopefully this nervous mom gets a bit more sleep tonight 😴💤 #CoraCarberry
☁ seriously moody skies between errands today ☁
TFW you realise it's Tuesday and there's a new episode of Better Call Saul.
15 minutes of entertainment 👋👶 #CoraCarberry
Yesterday I kind of verbal-diarrheaed all over my Instagram stories (interesting visual) about updating our bedroom with the Russian theme I've wanted for a long time, but I'm doubting myself now because of recent news and political stuff. Overwhelmingly, I've heard back that I should go for it and that my theme doesn't mean I support Putin. I still love you, Russia 💒 #KeepPutinOuttaMyBedroom
After spending about 6 neglectful years in our storage cupboard, I spray painted our swan vase black using @MakeItRustOleum chalkboard paint. I found this vase in a charity shop years ago but never used it as it was so discoloured. I'm so glad I thought to paint it as it looks SO MUCH BETTER and now I'm actually using it. #MakeItYours
Do two things make a theme? Probably not. Regardless, our desk has had a Big Lebowski 'theme' for a long time. Sources tagged!
#TBT to the Tunisian desert 7 years ago. Robert, my brother and I went on a tour that took us 24 hours by bus fom our hotel to the outskirts of the Sahara, where one of the Star Wars sets was abandoned and still standing. Unfortunately, last year it along with other (proper) historical sites were destroyed by militants. It was amazing to have visited but I wish I took more photos. #MayThe4thBeWithYou
I visited Cornucopia today for the first time ever and immediately regretted not starting going like 8 years ago (or 31 ... Who's keeping track? 😳) when they first opened. I've walked by the place I don't know how many times, and never went in. It's also covered in William Morris wallpaper so 🌿💕 Both the food and wallpaper were delicious. I just need to make up for lost time now.
When Cora was 4 days old and just out of the ICU, I was so excited that I put her on my hospital bed and took 200(,000) photos. The outfit she wore was my favourite outfit of hers so I set aside her hat, bib and tiny onesie for her memory box. Somehow, thanks to my illegal levels of new-mom hormones, I put her hat in a bag of things to donate to charity a few weeks later and brought it to one of the many charity shops I visit. Every time I looked at her ✌️ photo, I would get so upset with myself for stupidly getting rid of it. Then, last Tuesday, I was in the Irish Cancer Society charity shop on Capel Street looking through their baby clothes basket. I got down to the very bottom and what did I see laying there neatly, but Cora's hat. I know it's silly because it's just a hat, but I nearly cried. It never occurred to me to look for it because 6 months had passed and I was sure someone else would have bought it. I went straight to the till and bought it back for €0.20. I originally got it in a charity shop before Cora was born, so it's funny to have bought it a second time. You can be sure it's not going anywhere this time because mom guilt. #TBT #CoraCarberry
Today our munchkin is 6 months old (HOW HOW TIME HOW), so on my blog I wrote about Cora's birth story. I've always loved reading other birth stories so today I shared ours. #CoraCarberry

It sounds strange because I'm always writing about design, but I've never tried to define my style in words before. Kimberly of @swoonworthyblog created an exercise to help define your style and I have to say it's really interesting. A bit like homework, but the kind you don't mind doing a decade ( ... or more) after graduating. All about my three words and Kimberly's post on the blog today! #DarkRomanticLuxe
I shared a roundup of my spring cleaning and decluttering tips on my website today in case you need something to do to burn off some chocolate this weekend or just want a valid excuse to hide in a storage cupboard for a few hours ...
If you ever see something on KickStarter that makes you squeal, back that shit up. The Curious Department's range of insect homewares was the first thing I've ever backed and I mean it when I say the quality and design is incredible. In keeping with being months behind in everything, I finally took some pictures of our new plate 🐜💕 (topped with my first attempt at vegan whipped cream and ZOMG YOU GUYS).
