Very excited to be travelling to London this afternoon thanks to Netflix! I'll be meeting other bloggers and fellow home bodies as a new member of the #NetflixStreamTeam (NBD). Follow all my awkwardness on my stories today and tomorrow! 🎬
Carrie Bradshaw would be HORRIFIED. p.s. Thank you for your kind messages yesterday. We're doing much better since deciding to move and we're excited for our new adventure (BUT ALSO V. NERVOUS 😅)
This morning I wrote about the reality behind why we're moving. I like sharing nice things but I also think it's important to share the shitty things. Because real life is messy and you can't always slap an Instagram filter on it or slide the beautify bar to over 9,000. Plus, there's a cute photo of Cora 😜 More on www.theinteriordiyer.com today.
After months (but in reality, a lot longer than that) of dreaming and planning, Robert and I are excited to finally share that we're leaving our Dublin apartment and are moving to Canada ... In 2 weeks!!! 🍁
I'm excited to share plans for a new project I'm working on with an amazing couple who are looking to update their entertainment room with a dark, sophisticated nature-inspired look. With Labyrinth and Rick and Morty artwork, so, severe sophistication as you can see. Sources tagged and more details on www.theinteriordiyer.com today! 🌿 #Sponsored
🍁 it's beginning to look a lot like autumn 🍁
I realise this is a boring problem, but it's one we had so I figured someone else might have it too. Many renters in Ireland will know that when you rent a property, your new place can come with a lot of stuff. Today I shared my tips on how to cleverly hide and carefully store all manner of landlord stuff you don't use, from small nick-nacks to shelving units and even a double bed. Out of sight, out of mind!
Despite it being boarded up, I still want that gatehouse. Look at that chimney! #IWantThatGatehouse
Coffee Tables by Cora™ #CoraCarberry
Think I might need to get some 'Tram Café green' paint in the near future 🌲💕
I didn't sleep well last night so I thought a Saturday morning nap was a good idea. Cora was about to fall asleep for her first nap so I (STUPIDLY) said to myself, Aw, I'll take her out of her calming crib and bring her into our room, aka, the place where she has loads of fun during the day, and we'll snuggle quietly and she'll stay still and we'll have a lovely mommy-daughter nap together. Cue reality. Cora woke TF up the moment I placed her angelic head on our bed, climbed all over me, pulled my hair repeatedly and kicked me in the face. Forget Mayweather vs. McGregor. It was 4 rounds of Carberry vs. Carberry before I put Cora back in her crib and now we're both wide awake.
Does anyone know the name of this style of pattern? I've never known it but I love it so I Googled people and animals with trees and stuff ... in a pattern and you can imagine what results I got.
Cora's new favourite things are giving me heart attacks thanks to her fondness for climbing (the playpen, the TV stand, our bed), hates having to be changed (clothes and nappies alike), loves playing peekaboo, knows 'mama' and 'dada', can throw one hell of a tantrum, is proficient in handing us anything and everything, and has stood by herself a handful of times. This cheeky little face has been making our hearts explode for 10 months today 💕 #CoraCarberry
Since having Cora, I'm very keen on the 'half-made' bed because toddler. There's no cover on our duvet and hasn't been for months because I can't find one I like. And to further keep it real, the baby monitor by my pillow which gets checked 4 times a night to see that Cora's still breathing (I enjoy getting so worked up that I have to go into her room in the middle of the night and hover over her to hear her breathing. Just for a laugh!). I also want to thank Thalita (@thelearnerobserver) for featuring Cora's nursery for her #FF this week 💕 That woman has not one little, but two and at the same time. Parents of twins should be assigned their own personal SWAT team and get free wine / coffee for the rest of their lives. I salute you. p.s. Hello if you found me here thanks to Thalita! 👋
Cora's in bed, takeaway has been consumed, the bra is off and I'm in my favourite pj's (which I bought to fit me when I was pregnant but still wear them because they're comfy AF).
Our beautiful new print by @rachelcorcoran.art from @aprilandthebear is full of pastel pastry goodness for Cora's room 🍩💕 More on interiordiyer.com today!
TFW you've been working so hard and stressing and worrying and overthinking and preparing for the worst and then things start to fall into place. New projects and plans are happening and it's very exciting, despite it being Monday 😂
If you've ever wanted to paint an entire room black, just make like Shia LaBeouf and do it. This time last year @fleetwood_paints kindly offered me to choose two tins of their paint to add to our apartment. I picked a tin of nearly-black '1830 Rue Chapal' from their Vogue range and a tin of 'Lunar Rock' (seen in Cora's nursery) from their Pantone line. More pictures and all about our dark bedroom on my website this week! #DarkRomanticLuxe
