I’m looking forward to my last 2017 wedding, which is fast approaching! The ground right now is pretty green, so I’m crossing my fingers for a winter wonderland like Jessica and Dave’s wedding (my first 2017 wedding)!
When Kristen and Joe wanted to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather with local drinks during their engagement session, I was happy to oblige! I mean, I didn’t get to join in on the drinking, but it was still a treat to photograph outside of Monks in Sioux Falls! 😆
I’m a sucker for the outdoors, and when you combine a view like this with an incredible couple like Brittany and Lucas, I’m on cloud nine! Can’t wait to celebrate their wedding this spring!
These two adventurers flew in from Montana and drove several hours for a sunrise engagement session- and they looked good doing it! I sort of love how the painted area behind Kaci looks like the state of South Dakota, and she’s leading Jordan into it. It’s really fitting!
Going sans coat mid-November (comfortably!) for an engagement session is a major win in my book! Our trees may be bare in South Dakota this time of year, but downtown is still colorful thanks to our local Sioux Quartzite. I loved how the colors worked with Kelsey and Brett’s outfits!
Getting all wrapped up in each other and taking a moment to get close and be present together is what I love about engagement photos. I delight in the art of portraits, of course, but that human connection with amazing couples like Alli and Joe really fills my heart. ❤️
