#Repost from @wonderlandmommyblog Because everyone needs to read this // . . Next fact for Down Syndrome Awareness Month: When someone you know has a baby with Down syndrome, don’t say, “I’m sorry.” And... there is no need to feel uncomfortable. Recently I had someone reach out to me who just had a baby with Down syndrome. She said one of the toughest parts was the reaction (or lack thereof) that she had received from people. Before we had Alice, I had never known anyone to have a baby with Down syndrome, so I don’t know how I would have reacted or what I would have said. But I do know that we received a lot of “I’m sorry” when Alice was born... and although people mean well and truly have no clue what to say, this is not the best reaction. I kept looking at her and wondering what people were “sorry” about. Shortly after Alice was born, I wrote a blog post called, “Responses to a Down syndrome diagnosis.” I outlined a few great responses we had received and a few not-so-great responses. You can read it via the link in my bio... so next time someone you know has a child with Down syndrome, you’ll know what to say or not say. I remember people telling me that they were sorry or giving me a look of sympathy when they found out Alice has Down syndrome. I can’t tell you how uncomfortable it makes me to think that anyone would feel bad for me. I have an absolutely amazing life. My child with Down syndrome does not change that... except that she makes it even more amazing. When someone you know has a child with DS, don’t feel bad for them. Say “congratulations” wholeheartedly, be positive and then send them my way so they can see Alice and get some much-needed hope. Remember that they just had a baby! It’s time to celebrate, not mourn. Things are going to be A-OK and there is NO need for sympathy! . . Hello Fall 🍁🍂 and a happy second anniversary to Valerie & Ryan! 💙
That gold lettering 😍
Placecards from this weekend. Congratulations Mary & Jake!
Day or Night Pittsburgh Skyline 👌 Which one is your favorite?
This. Is. Pittsburgh. // Our dear friends Adriana & Tom tied the knot this weekend and I had a blast designing every little detail for their wedding. There's a lot of great venues in Pittsburgh, but you can't beat the view at @lemontpittsburgh 🔥
A sunny weekend in Pittsburgh isn't complete without a trip to The Point, right? C is from the Steel City, and with family and friends from there, I do a lot of Pittsburgh weddings. Stay tuned for one next weekend! 🖤💛 . . #pittsburgh #thepoint #pittsburghwedding

In honor of the first OSU Buckeyes game tomorrow, a throwback to Melissa & Jose's Ohio-themed wedding suite! I especially loved their custom metal cake topper, which is now a keepsake for life ♥️
Loved the subtle blush watercolor on Kalie & Tyler's invitations - we used that throughout their entire wedding suite too! . . . .
