One I’m so jealous with the size of @easyteachingtools room! Two I just love how she has so many seating options! Do you use flexible seating in your room?!
I love everything about this. Focusing on this today! Happy Sunday, friends! ❤️ photo by @jennakutcher
I haven’t introduced myself over here in a while so I wanted to say HI to all my new friends!! My name is Hannah and I run this little place called The Friendly Teacher! 1. These two above are my whole life! My babe is 6 months old and my obsession! And my husband is the bomb.com 2. When I had my babe I started teaching part time and LOVE it! 3. I live in a SMALL town and love it! Give me less traffic and less people and I’m happy! 4. I LOVE planning a party or event! If I wasn’t a teacher or a teacher creator I’d be doing that! 5. I could eat chips and salsa every meal every day. 6. I have a strange fear of raccoons. Like if I see one in my yard you bet I’m locking myself in a closet hiding from them. 😜😂 #wishiwasjoking 7. I hate cleaning with a passion. But I also hate a messy house, so it makes my life rather confusing. 8. ☕️ 🍷 🍕 🍫 🎄🏈 9. I taught 3rd grade and LOVED it with my whole soul. When we moved I had to go to 1st, but everything on this page will typically stay third grade related because that’s my love and passion! 10. I still love to grocery shop. I don’t even understand why someone would want to pick up their groceries! Do you relate to any of these?! Please let me know below! I’d love to get to know you more! ❤️
If you can find a way to bring learning to life DO IT! We are learning about holidays around the world right now. Today we had a chef come into our classroom and make us a French Yule log cake! He took so much time to explain the tradition and talk about his job! The kids absolutely loved it and it was a way to bring our holidays around the world to life! You never know what reaching out to people in your community can do for your student’s learning!
I LOVE how @morepensplease used paragraph of the day for a fun celebration today! Her class not only read and learned about National Cookie Day, they also enjoyed a cookie! It’s not too late to learn about this fun day and 9 more topics with both a fiction and nonfiction passage for each topic!! Check it out with the link in @friendlyteacher ! #nationalcookieday 🍪🎄🎉 . . . . . . . https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Text-Evidence-Reading-Paragraph-of-the-Day-December-Edition-2684022
@chalkfulloflife is reading my mind!! This class has always been good about putting their names on their paper and then December hit and I’m losing my mind!!! Anyone else?! #teacherstruggles 🎄😂
This is my favorite writing all year long! It is so much fun! We read How Santa Got His Job and then the students fill out a real life application to be Santa. After the application they write a persuasive essay on who should Santa. I typically will then choose a student to be Santa at our book exchange! It is SO MUCH FUN! Find it with the link in @friendlyteacher 🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅 . . . . . . https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Christmas-Santa-Writing-2849326
Slowing down is something I struggle with! This year I am trying to set intention to slow down and just sit and enjoy my cup of coffee. To slow down and laugh with my students. To slow down and make memories with them. My December intention is to slow down and take in all the magic! I’m going to start this morning by sipping this glass slowly while spending time with my family! Please tell me your intentions this December?! I’d love to know what you’re focusing on! #decemberchallenge 🎄🎁🎅🎉
