Warning: gross pics if you swipe over. I just want to brag on these little guys in the first pic. Because pic 2 is a selfie from last Friday - just 1week ago! I unwrapped the bandages, and found pic 3... immediately I began dropping frankincense and tea tree directly on the wound, undiluted, as often as possible. Pic 4 was from sat or sun...by Tues, 1week from injury, I didn't need to cover or protect it anymore, and water exposure made all the burning come off (pic 5). Today, one week from unwrapping that hospital dressing, just look at that finger!! I can't even BELIEVE how fast its healing, and how great it feels. Tea tree keeps infection from setting in, its a gentle but powerful natural Neosporin and frankincense promotes healing and is great for the skin! Its gotten a little itchy today as healing continues, so, lavender to the rescue for that!
Grey is very proud of his drawing of Toothless, his favourite dragon
Brooks drew a cartoon version of himself! He's adorable 😉
It makes me laugh at how often, while playing something that is entirely 'pretend', they say pretend that he... Pretend he says... Pretend he goes... Let's pretend they... Its so cute that they feel the need to clarify that one 😉 #letspretend
When you feel some sinus stuff going on... This stuff is not just for little kids! Sniffle-ease for the win! And also, that finger! I'm using Tea Tree and frankincense faithfully, and its tender, but healing slowly. #essentialoils
Because the best things in life can rarely be called best if they, in fact, do not include gelato. #ruleoflife #affogato
Grey, reading out loud/memorizing a portion of Luke Me: that's part of the Christmas story! Grey: yeah, I know. I recognize it from Charlie Brown 😂😂😂 He's such a studious little guy, and is unintentionally hilarious every day! #lleytongrey #llovehim
This day, in 2010. Grey was 7 months old, Kenna was 4, Brooks 3. Cutie loves!
Because my life apparently revolves around my now ugly black finger, here's an update... I'll even spare you a gross pic! BUT! My first shower since Tues (ew!) was a success. I still can't get it very wet (only quickly/slightly wet) so I used a plastic finger cot under padding and tape. Worked perfectly! I'm protecting it well, but giving it plenty of open air time, and honestly, it's doing great! I'm so so glad! Frankincense and tea tree oil are dropped on the wound at regular intervals. It's tender, of course, but I'm on track, I think!
This cuddly bug is keeping me company while I'm off my feet, elevating my hand often. He's such a loyal little bear. ❤ He's eight months now, and still a little hoppy as he's recovering from his little car accident, but he's doing well, and he loves us SO much! #SolomonJustus #sollybear #hopalong
