One year ago today the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games came to a close. Western Australia had 30 athletes compete in the green and gold with 20 medallists contributing to eight gold, five silver and five bronze medals for Australia. We are proud of them all! 🇦🇺💚💛💚💛
A year ago today. The Kookaburras claimed gold on the Gold Coast to send favourite son and inspirational captain Mark Knowles into retirement in style! Five WA athletes shared in that success, whilst in the ring, Caitlin Parker closed out her debut Commonwealth Games with a silver medal.

One year ago today. Rhiannon Clarke - then aged 15 - wowed Carrara Stadium with a silver medal in the women’s T38 100m at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. The WAIS Wheelchair Basketball Program celebrated its second instalment of an emerging tradition this evening. One that presents the new training singlet to each scholarship athlete and train-on invitee for the year ahead. This tradition has been fostered by the program’s inaugural head coach Brad Ness, and it coincides with the athlete induction night held at WAIS. 🏀 #TeamWAIS
