Lock and I entered 2018 with our very first getaway trip to wine country in Dundee, OR and although we didn’t plan to get any content I had to post this one quick photo Lock snapped because this place was a little slice of heaven. I really want to share where we stayed and what we did because everything was perfect and I highly recommend everything for anyone wanted a beautiful vineyard retreat. • .. We stayed at a small inn, only 9 rooms, called Black Walnut (@blackwalnutinn) which is nicely situated on an incredible vineyard with the most beautiful view. Since this time of year isn’t considered “season” I’m pretty sure we were the only ones there so as you can imagine, peaceful is a total understatement. They’re currently offering 25% off their premium vineyard-view rooms (we stayed in nine 👌🏼) until February 28th. Take note: they are an adult only inn. • .. While we were there we booked a wine tour with Chris from Access Oregon Wine Tours which is a private tour that takes you to 4-6 different wineries within the Willamette Valley. We LOVED chris not only because he was very knowledgeable but also because he was very personable and quickly felt more like a friend than a tour guide. Everybody knew him and often gave us a discount just for being with him. He took us to Alexana, WillaKenzie, Fairsing, Saffron Fields, and Domaine Roy + fils. • .. It was a much needed trip for the two of us as the last half of 2017 was pretty rough and well, it was our first trip away by ourselves and toddlers are hard y’all. We are so thankful for our friends Trevor and Lelia who watched the kids for us, all of our local friends (new and old) for taking the edge off whenever possible during our transition to a new home, and thankful for our friends/family near and far (including all of you guys) that constantly check in and keep up with our chaotic lives. Cheers to a new year full of new adventures, new friends, and new ventures. Oh and a maybe a few more vineyard getaways for Lock and I 😉
This is what happiness looks like. Thanks Portland for a white Christmas 🎄
Never ever grow up. I love you wildly sweet boy of mine.
Adulting has been kicking our butts lately. Who’s ready to spin into the weekend? • • • Anybody else headed to Portland Bazaar this weekend? #portlandbazaar
Never a dull waterfall in the PNW
Follow these steps to a beach full of caves, rocks and crashing waves. The caves are perfect for a small fire with a rainy ocean view! #whplikealocal
Give me all the flannel bunny hats and long walks on the beach please! • Coopers hat is fair-trade and each product sold at @elliefunday helps provide access to counseling and safe alternatives for women suffering from domestic violence or susceptible to human trafficking.
Adventuring with you will never get old 💕 #whereweadventure #ospreypacks
