I've just noticed that I didn't publish here any photo from the wonderful exhibition Power and Fashion which I had seen during my spring visit in Dresden. The exhibition shows ceremonial clothes and accessories from the 16th and 17th centuries. Here is my absolutely favourite dress of Magdalena Sibylla of Saxony from the 1610s ✨

Nouveau livre préfére 🖤 I've read some books from the time of Louis XIV already, but the letters of Elisabeth Charlotte d'Orléans are one of my favourites. Princess of Palatinat was a second wife of Monsieur, the Sun King's younger brother. In the extensive correspondance she described her difficult life at the French court filled with splendor, ceremonial and cruel intrigues.

Thinking of a beautiful day spent in the Schönbrunn palace ✨ The palace is a great example of Versailles (and just French) influences in the 18th century Europe ✨
