Today I had to pop to the office to pick up some letters... a simple task you’d think but our shower broke refusing to put out any hot water so my damp hair got stuck up on my head in mum bun for the twenty something day running. And then just when I thought I was all organised and ready to pop the girls in their car seats, we had to do a quick nappy change. All changed and back in their snow suits, I was just about to put them in their car seats again when we had to do another nappy change! 🤦🏻♀️ Finally to top it all off the @costacoffee drive thru was shut... we did make it to the office in the end but didn’t get many photos today. So here’s a picture of my goggle eyed reindeer and our Christmas tree sapling outside my kitchen window! 😂 #twinlife
Twin swim! 😍😍 So proud of these two and how much they love @waterbabiestees - I look forward to our lesson every week.
I’ve been seeing so many amazing #thankyoumidwife posts and for each one @pampersworld will donate £1 to the Royal College of Midwives. What an amazing campaign to say thank you to the wonderful humans who bring our tiny humans into the world. My midwives at Durham were fantastic and I can’t thank them enough. I saw our twin midwife, Heather every two weeks and every week at one point for regular scans. Then on the day we found out I had preeclampsia the team of midwives who helped me and then went onto look after Edie and Mabel with Jay while I couldn’t were incredible. When a few days later, I was eventually moved to the postnatal ward, I met a trainee midwife from @teessideuni called Ruth who I wish, knew how much she helped me. I even nominated her for the Emma’s Diary midwife of the year awards. You know when someone just gets you and despite how crazy busy the department clearly was, she made me feel like she had all the time in the world for me. If there were ever real-life super heroes then they would have to be midwives. If they ever read this… I can’t thank you enough for making what was a difficult time, wonderful. You are magic.
Such a busy day - took the girls with me and popped to the office to pick up a few bits then headed to the @screamscometrue site to drop some off! The Christmas event build was well underway and Kirkleatham was looking magical in the snow! Here’s hoping it stays for the weekend! ❄️❄️❄️ Also had an emergency Tesco run as life Iesson learnt, leftover caramel macchiato does not clean windscreens. This doesn’t sound like a lot but when you add five month old twins into the working day... it felt manic.
Instagram vs reality. Keeping it real as always... #twinlife
Not quite six months old and already plotting how to destroy Christmas tree! 😍😍
Best surprise ever - we came home last night and @_jay_tate_ had picked up our Christmas tree. The girls are already obsessed with it and we haven’t even decorated it yet! 😍
Had such a fun & festive day working but I missed these two like crazy.
Throwback Tuesday...? Maybe I can make it a thing. I miss the girls been teeny tiny but I love it now they’re getting bigger, both physically and their personalities. They’re both such sweet funny girls.
