It’s HAPPENING. I bought my first one-way ticket, and in 12 short days I’ll be in Croatia working in a co-working space that’s across the street from the Adriatic Sea. 😆 I wrote a blog post about my upcoming adventure! I talk about who I’m going with, why I decided to do this crazy thing, and how I can travel for 4 months without quitting my job. Check it out! #linkinbio 📷 From that one time I got to walk behind a waterfall 💦 . . . #allaboutadventures #justtravel #travellingtheworld #wanderlust #travelphotography #remotework #remoteyear #exploremore #digitalnomad
I’ve been super mia on IG, specifically on this account...again. Whoops, life happens right? 😂 I haven’t spent much time behind the camera since December because I’ve been working with some amazing women on some incredible projects, and am preparing for a 4-month trip to Europe and South Africa starting in April! When I did some traveling last year I realized how much I was craving exploring new places, so I signed up to work and travel with @remoteyear! Just booked my flight to Split, Croatia, for the first leg of the trip, and have been reading up on the area and trying to learn as much as I can before I go. Recs welcome :) I was interviewed on the @standtoserve podcast by @emily_costopoulos (one of the awesome humans I work with everyday) and we chatted about shifting in life and career, and how to embrace the uncertainty life inevitably throws at you. We also talked about how I became part of the @rocksolidassistants team and how I work with Emily as her virtual assistant on the daily. I’ll share the episode when it releases in March! Life is shifting (again haha) but my love of photography is still very much alive and I’ll try to pop in more to share recent work and where life is taking me. I want to spend more time writing (a creative urge that’s been calling to me lately) so what kind of posts would you guys be interested in seeing over on the blog or on IG? . . . . . . . #remoteyear #remotework #exploremore #digitalnomad #allaboutadventures #wanderlust
I’m starting to get in the holiday spirit partly because I’m finally staying in one place to enjoy it this weekend (pretty stoked about that), but also because I watched a Hallmark Christmas movie with my sister @dombroskitribe last weekend, and although we mocked it mercilessly, I kinda loved it. (Who knew I’d ever admit that?) So be honest, what’s your fav cheesy holiday movie you love to hate? I need some suggestions so I can have some classic(ish) entertainment when I edit over the weekend!
As cold and rainy as it was over the weekend, I spent Saturday morning warm and cozy in @thelumenroom Room with Traci, Travis and their sweet boys! A few early favorites from my time with this good-looking family💛
The colors have been so bright this fall! I just want to be outside exploring all day everyday. Grateful I got to spend some time with these three last week! In love with these photos🧡 - I’ll be back in DFW next week for more sessions and have a couple of spots left while I’m in the area. I can get them back to you within the week if you plan on sending out holiday cards! Send me a DM if you’re interested:)
The McCall family is on the blog! Thank you guys for having me be a part of family photos this year! I had so much fun with all of you💛 Link’s in my profile for the full post!
A couple weeks ago I finished storing my things in a 5x10 storage unit. I packed the rest of what I own in my car (and my mom’s car), and drove away from a place that’s been home for the last 10 years. - That trip was more than just making the 5 hour drive to the hill country I’ve made hundreds of times in the past. It was letting go. Letting go of a lot. - I almost stayed. I was minutes from signing a 13-month lease in Denton when I got a call from my brother. He reminded me how excited I’ve been about the possibilities of traveling and exploring during this time. He was right, the road’s been calling to me like crazy over the last year. So I decided to pass on the cute little downtown apartment, and live a nomadic life for now. See where life takes me. - I’ve slowly built a career that allows me to work wherever I have an internet connection and I feel so so grateful for all of the people, books, podcasts, jobs, and moments of clarity and inspiration that have gotten me to this point. - All the letting go I’ve done lately (including boxes upon boxes of “stuff” I’ve accumulated over the years) has been tough at times, but man is it freeing. I feel free, and creative, and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me. 📷: @bdweber
It’s safe to say these two have successfully mastered the smize😍 So happy we decided to grab a few more shots with the little ones (who were doing awesome!) before wrapping up. One of my absolute faves of @alexandramann87 💛
“Everything you’ve ever wanted is on the other side of fear.” - I’m in the midst of making some crazy hard, scary decisions. And scary decisions usually involve denial, stress, a few tears, procrastination, skipping meals, and eating raw cookie dough. (Or is that just me? 😂) - This past week I tried talking myself out of making choices that led to uncertainty and the unknown and tried talking myself into making choices that led to the safe, comfortable, and familiar (almost successfully). But I’m choosing to lean into the fear of the unknown and to trust myself. - Feeling fear isn’t a bad thing, it’s part of life, and I know from experience that making decisions that feel scary but also feel right at the same time can lead you down a path that has some incredible life adventures waiting for you. - If you’re in the process of making some difficult decisions I’m sending you all the love. Be kind to yourself, and know you’re not alone!
