There's barely any grass but, you know.......PEARS!
The difference between growing kale under nets........or not.
My favourite place to be right now - on the verandah enjoying how lovely the front garden is this year
Exciting times in the bee garden. Plants are taking off, glasshouse pumping out seedlings and phase 6 (ish) in progress with new garden boxes and wider path.
Miss Jersey butter hot of the press. The goal is to make enough butter to freeze during milking time to see us through the 2 months we don't milk. Right now she's holding back on the cream for the calf so we're a bit below demand level.
Finally replaced the fence between paddock and veg garden. It's been a problem for the last few years with incursions from sheep, calves and even the bull jumping it one time. Glad to have had some good weather (at last!!) to knock this one off the list!
So happy to have our own milk again! Attempting German quark today for the first time.
Last day of Winter.....stunning.
Miss Jersey surprised me this morning with a new calf!
New chicken cuddles
Felt like Spring this morning.
