Type B to the max - I've been home from Nashville for 5 days and still haven't fully unpacked yet 😂🙈 My husband unpacks everything basically the minute we get home! What kind of unpacker are you? Do you... 🚗 Take your time and unpack as you need stuff OR ✈️ Unpack IMMEDIATELY?
*GIVEAWAY!* Popsicles always remind me of my childhood - freezer pops to be exact! Grape was my all-time fave! 🍇 I have to say, though, my FAVORITE childhood memory involving ice cream 🍦was having a scoop of chocolate ice cream on top of a cake cone that my grandma would bring me, and I'd eat it sitting under a shade umbrella in their backyard with my grandpa, after we were done swimming on a hot summer day ☀️ Tell me your favorite ice cream-related memory in honor of #nationalicecreamday, and I'll pick someone tomorrow night (Monday) at 9pm CST to win my ice cream scoops articulation set! (featured in the next two photos ➡️)
When you think, I must have missed some mascara last night washing my face only to realize it's not mascara remnants and it's actually just dark circles 🤷♀️🤣 I have the hardest time going to bed at a decent hour! Are you a night owl or an early bird? 📷: @_gollymissmollie
RAISE YOUR HAND if you struggle without structure 🙋 I've been on a round-trip loop on the struggle bus today as far as getting myself to DO something other than watch Netflix and drink tea 😬 I love having a break from everything and having time to relax, but after a few days of it, I feel like I completely fall apart 🙈 Give me your best tips for motivating yourself when you fall into this funk! (Or, how you prevent it from happening in the first place!) HELP!!
Summer break always seems to be my time to reflect on my “WHY.” Something about slower-paced days, feeling relaxed, and being able to take a step back from all the craziness! ☀️ There’s a lot to love about what I do as an SLP. Hearing first words, seeing a little guy initiate a social game/activity for the first time, and watching a whole new world open up for a kiddo using AAC, are a few easy ones. But today, I’m feeling gratitude for something a little less obvious. ♥️ Earlier this week, as I began to arrange my new home office, I set up this little treasure that I received after my first year as an SLP. It was a homemade gift from a crafty mama, which made me think of her soon-to-be middle schooler and when she was mine back in preschool. 💜 That sweet, funny girl gave me all the warm fuzzies every time I worked with her. She cracked me up CONSTANTLY, and being witness to her blossoming confidence as her speech became clearer, still, to this day, is one of the highlights of my 7 year career. I give her credit for being the reason I’m drawn to kids with Apraxia and love it so much. She has impacted me more than she’ll ever know! 💙 There’s just so much joy in what we do, and today, I am so very thankful to be an SLP!
I'm still debating whether to keep these same shoeboxes as storage in my craft room/home office, or switch them up! I went to HomeGoods today to check out their box selection, but it was sorely lacking! 👎 So they're staying for now! Where do you go to get cute storage boxes? #slporganization
Most importantly, Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson have found their place in the new house! 🤣 My favorite Leslie quote? Waffles, friends, work. Or friends, waffles, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third. #parksandrec
What's your fave ice cream flavor? I'm a sucker for anything coffee-flavored or mint chocolate! 🍦 My kids love pretending to play ice cream shop, and these brand new ice cream articulation mats are a SUPER EASY way to incorporate pretend play into articulation practice, whether you're using plastic ice cream scoops, felt scoops, or pom poms as your ice cream! 🍨 PS- Every sound, including vocalic r and 3-element s blends, are in this set, too!
Every time we clean up the bingo chips, this thought runs through my head. Packing up my house would be so much easier if I just had a giant chipper chat wand to scoop everything up! EDIT: I just reread the original post and saw I wrote rubs through my head instead of runs through 😂 #needmoresleep
