Well played, September. You heralded the beginning of autumn, and with that came a series of good eats with good friends. As I looked back at these clips, I remembered that I had a lot to be thankful for. For one, my wonderful sister passed the Oregon bar and is the first lawyer in our family. I could not be prouder 👩🏻⚖️ As for me, September reminded me to be humble and to be persistent (still trying for those Hamilton lottery tickets 🙌🏻). On a more serious note, a lot of things happened recently -- natural and human disasters. I hope it causes pause for reflection and action to help. See you all next month.
August somehow felt like the longest month of the year. It was filled with trips back and forth between Irvine and LA, a visit from my sissy, and all of the food one could hope for (goodbye diet). Classes started up again and I am officially a 2L! Thinking about it is insane. I'm that much closer to being a baby lawyer 🌝 Although I missed the solar eclipse and burned my way through my stomach (why did my sister and I think the hot wings challenge was safe???), I loved August. Now, heatwave, please leave us 🔥🔥🔥🔥👋🏻 See you next month, friends. . 🎵 produced by my babu @eklectiq
Another month, another video! July was nothing short of crazy. I got to know so many wonderful people while I was at Fox, and I ate the most delicious food along the way. July saw the end of my summer as a diversity fellow and it was bittersweet. I am eternally grateful for the experience. I learned more than I could have ever hoped and met such incredible people. Now that it's August, big love to everyone going through interviews! ✨👊🏻 See you all next month. 💖
June took me to a lot of new places 🙌🏻 From my first trip to D.C. to starting the second half of my summer at Fox, it's been a treat! Thank you to my wonderful friends, both new and old, for making this month for me 🤗 Also, huge shoutout to @eklectiq for the tunes!! 🎶
Boy, was May a glorious month. It saw the end of my 1L year, the start of an amazing job at an awesome firm and a buffet of food 🍽 (From work lunches to eating my mama's cooking again, it's fair to say that I'll stay plump as ever this summer.) I'm as happy as ever. This month I flew up to Oregon to see my sister graduate law school..on the same day that my brother graduated! 👩🏻🎓👨🏻🎓 The Kim family is moving on up and I am absurdly proud of my siblings. May taught me to be thankful and I am trying to hold onto these wonderful moments as fiercely as I can. I hope you all enjoyed a glimpse into my month -- and hopefully you think the editing has improved! If I'm honest, I think this is the best one yet 🤗 Until the next one 💖 See you all next month.
Oh, April. April saw the end of my 1L classes and the beginning of the flurry that is (still) finals. In trying to study for my Con Law exam this Friday, I will keep this short -- April was a blur, and I hope this video conveys the small moments I held onto. See you next month. 💫
Then there was March ☘️ Filled with sweet friends and wonderful food, what a month it was! I did my first practice oral arguments (crazy anxiety not pictured), ate way too much, and maybe studied not enough. But April is now here and it's time to buckle down. As 1L winds down, I have much to reflect on. Perhaps, though, that should come after I figure out what's going on in Torts? 🤷🏻♀️ See you all in a month 💫
And then February happened. What a month! Everything went by in a blink and I can't believe I'm nearing the end of my spring break. February has, at times, felt like one big gulp of not enough air -- and yet it's held such sweet and special memories for me. Without getting too sentimental, I'm very thankful for the lovely people I have in my life. 💖 While I sit and hope for some good news coming up in the new month, please enjoy this little snap of my February. 🙏🏻
This year, I told myself that I would be more creative. Over the past year or so, I slowly stopped blogging and taking photos with my big camera. I opted to keep my travels and bits to myself -- then when law school hit, I had no time for it all. But this year, I decided that I wanted to do something different! I hesitate to post this because I failed miserably at getting clips in January, and what I do have is not a good representation of what my month was like. Learning to edit better will be another thing to add to my list. Nevertheless, I'm sticking to my resolution and putting it out there. So here you are! A ramble and a quick snapshot of my January. I hope February is a little bit better.
