See that lace in the bottom corner? It’s a precious family heirloom worn by Meg on her wedding day this past weekend. Since 1820, every bride in her family has carried that handkerchief and it continues to be passed down through the generations. When Meg handed it to me, wrapped in tissue paper in a box, she shared this story. My jaw dropped and I knew I was being handed a piece of her family history. So I handled it with extreme care and made sure to showcase its beautiful design in her bridal details.
Yesterday's wedding was heavenly. It was full of joy, excitement, reverence, and jaw dropping moments. I feel so incredibly honored and blessed that Meg and David allowed me into this part of their lives to capture their love. Thank you both for being so amazing and to your wonderful friends and family for being gracious and sweet! ⠀ ⠀ Cheers to the Mr. and Mrs. Connor!!! ⠀ ⠀ Vendors: ⠀ Planning: @helpinghandparties⠀ Venue: @theledgesclub and First Baptist Church HSV⠀ Videographer: @awakenfilms⠀ Florals: @bucketsandblooms⠀ Makeup: @lesliewaremua⠀ Hair: @j.n.lock⠀ Dress: @moniquelhuillier⠀ Dress Shop: @bridalsbylori⠀ Bridesmaids Dresses: @bellabridesmaids⠀ Cake: Belle Fleur⠀ Dessert Table: Baby Bites Bake Shoppe⠀ Quartet: Felicity String Quartet⠀ Stationery: @thetopiarytree⠀ DJ: @metropolitandiscjockey⠀ #countdowntoconnor
When I moved to Huntsville, I knew the landscape would challenge and inspire me, but I didn't realize how much I would love it here. I have fallen completely in love with the rolling hills and teeny tiny mountains of Northern Alabama.⠀ ⠀ Being a wedding photographer in Huntsville is truly a joy, and I am continually counting my blessings. ⠀ ⠀ Anyone else crushing hard on her bouquet? Simpson's Florist did an incredible job!
I love photographing details on wedding day. It's a time for me to be still and take in all of the gorgeous things my clients have picked out for their wedding day. ⠀ ⠀ My clients have impeccable taste and style, and it's always exciting for me to see what they have chosen to represent them in their details. Sometimes it's a veil from the bride's grandmother. Sometimes it's shoes that were a gift from the groom's mother. Sometimes it's an heirloom wedding band. ⠀ ⠀ It's exciting for me to find out the story behind these pieces because on wedding day, I am the storyteller for my clients. Which is such a blessing and an honor.
