Transitioning to all things Fall! 🍁 Chopped off a ton of hair, allowing for other changes and opportunities to come into my life. 🍂 Still have all the summer clothes out but soon it will be time for sweatshirts and uggs! 🍁 Bring on all the pumpkins, apples, festivals, Halloween and everything else that comes with Fall. I’m ready to embrace a new season (of year and life). ✂️ courtesy of @jordabeauty
Always remember! #september11 🇺🇸 Love that we were able to share this time in history with the kids this summer.
While getting ready this morning, Cam was in the bathroom with me. I was putting on my makeup and he asked “when do you wear this gold, sparkly stuff?” . I said, “usually only on special occasions...” 🎁 “Today is special. It’s your birthday.” 🎉 Which made me think, he’s right. Today is special but so is everyday. Why shouldn’t I wear the fun makeup everyday? Wear the makeup, eat the cake, be silly! 💕 Today, I turn 38 and as I contemplate the wise soul of my child, I am reminded of how grateful I am for each day. 🙏 Later, I’ll be rolling out my annual list of things I want to accomplish this year. I love birthdays. It’s a new beginning and time to reflect on what’s coming up! #5minofselfcare
Unofficial last day of summer. We filled it with roasted marshmallows, a last hurrah at the pool with the dog and grillin out! 🏊🏻♀️ I might not be quite ready to put away the tanks tops and shorts but the chilly fall mornings sure are calling my name. 🍁 The end of one season of life should not be mourned instead be ready to embrace the new one with open arms.
With four kids, it’s a challenge finding time to spend with them separately. The two of us dove into the Fantastic Beasts books after devouring Harry Potter (the second time for me). Tonight, he and I are watching the second movie while Dad and the others get the fire roaring outside. We might slip out to roast a few marshmallows and then head back into snuggle while we see what Grindelwald is up to with Dumbledore.
