Spent the morning making porcelain Christmas decorations with my mum in her studio. We'll use a rogue pinetree that's growing on the side of the driveway and the decorations won't be ready until the morning of the 24th... but that pretty much sums us up! More than a little unorganized and a rather rustic mish mash!
The new babies arrived this week! They're 3 months old and about the size of our dog. Unlike most calves these little ladies were allowed to stay with their mama's for the first few months of their lives. Cattle farming and especially dairy farming is so incredibly inhumane that after researching it I stopped eating dairy straight away (as a bonus I physically feel better for it too!). I'm not going to go on vegan rants but please take a moment to consider what was involved for you to be able to lather your Christmas dessert with cream. No mother, human or otherwise, should have to go through what these cows do year after year. Humans are weird. P.S coconut or cashew make for pretty delicious creamy alternatives. # cowsmilkisforcalves
A fresh batch of homemade deodorant. I have been using this for years, it works so incredibly well that I can't imagine I will ever buy one from the store again. 6Tbs Coconut oil 1/4 baking soda 1/4 arrowroot powder A few drops of essential oil if you want Mix it well. Apply once a day. Never have smelly armpits again. It's practically magic! #homemadedeodarant #chemicalfree
