It's been a tough week. In fact it's been a tough few months. Health issues and other things have taken their toll and I'm tired. I'm recovering from a procedure and it's annoying to have to slow down but quotes like this make me smile. How do you brighten your days when you're feeling down?
The Hubby and I in front of a fountain at Hyde Park. Visiting London last weekend was brilliant and we had a great time. We ate good #food, drank awesome cocktails, and walked lots. A rare, but awesome, photo of us both. 😍
The Hubby and I had a wonderful weekend in London, we had time together alone and it was so great. It's been a long time since we were able to do that and we took full advantage of it. You can read about our weekend over #ontheblog. http://www.morganprince.com/2017/06/weekend-in-london.html
An awesome family meal after a great day walking along the River Trent. We tried out @prezzoresteurants #LaFamiglia family sharing bowl and LOVED it! The boys laughed at their dad trying to serve spaghetti bolognese and they enjoyed the ice-cream too. The meal was a lovely finish to a tiring walk and gave us enough energy to make the return journey. Glad to be able to visit thanks to @Britmums.
Birthdays - I hate them. Not my own, they're fine because I don't have to buy myself a card. It's everyone else's birthdays I hate. I have to buy cards, send them through the post, ugh. And I feel guilty every time because I'm always late sending the card. But... Perhaps @paperlesspost has come to my rescue. Maybe I can get rid of the guilt I feel by using them in the future. I can even schedule when to send cards! Epic! http://www.morganprince.com/2017/06/i-hate-birthdays.html
My boys (yes, all three!) enjoyed a morning at High Ropes at Colwick Country Park last week as part of #ParkLives with @parklivesnotts. The took on the challenge of the Leap of Faith and LP did a climb with his dad. While they both thought they wouldn't want to do it at the start they came away with huge smiles on their faces and were super proud of themselves. A great morning out. Read more about our morning out over #ontheblog and be sure to check out my video too!
Exercising, #dieting, being #healthy... while health is a great thing to want it's not always possible. Some people struggle with disabilities or debilitating issues every day. Some people are struck, out of the blue. On a day when I'm heading to the hospital again to get the results of my biopsy health is obviously on my mind. I'm sure everything will be fine, but it certainly makes you realise that your health is not entirely under your own control. Yes, for the most part it is but sometimes things happen that you cannot control or do anything about. Live, Love, and be happy. LIVE = All you can do is live life to the fullest. LOVE = Love those closest to you, and offer kindness to those who need it. BE HAPPY = no matter what it is that makes you happy, DO IT. Do it right now! 🤔 🤗
Over the last few weeks the weather has been so lovely that we've managed to get out for #walks on a regular basis. It's so great being able to walk along the #canal nearby and enjoy the glorious sunshine. 😎 ☀️ You have to get #outdoors when you can in this country and I encourage you to get outdoors when the weather permits. Take your #children for walks, they'll see things they wouldn't otherwise. 🎄 🕷🐛 When out on our walks we often discuss a number of different topics and being outdoors somehow encourages our children to talk to us more. When did you last go for a walk? 🤔
My boys think I'm #evilmum 😈, they think I'm mean and unfair every single day. But... I am their mum, I am there to teach them. Am I strict? Yes I am. Do I tell them 'no'? Yes I do. 😱 I believe that by being strict and enforcing rules my boys learn, they learn to play by rules and respect others' rules. This is part of me as their #mum. ☺️ Are you strict with your children? How do you teach them about respect?
