Stuck for what to buy the man in your life? Check out @idle - they've got a great selection of mens style for a reasonable price. I've written about some of the gifts I got for the Hubby over on the blog.
Being the mum of a teen is tough, especially when they get to the stage of not talking to you. My eldest is just 13 and he doesn't talk to me, he won't share what he's doing at school or anything about his friends. While I know it's a stage but it doesn't make it any easier to cope with. Over on the blog today I'm talking about the stresses of having a teen that doesn't talk to you and how you can cope with it. It involves lots of me-time to relieve the stress! ⠀ Do you have a teen that doesn't talk to you? How do you cope?
This is a photo of me in Orlando a few years ago - don't I look happy? I was at my slimmest, I was healthy, and best of all I knew what I wanted to do. Since then there have been a few bumps in the road but I'm getting there and have learned what my purpose is. Being diagnosed with cervical cancer, being cleared of cervical cancer, and being able to be more active again has helped me focus on what is most important. ⠀ With the kids at school I can focus on me and think about what I want. When was the last time you thought about YOU?⠀ http://www.morganprince.com/2017/11/finding-yourself.html ⠀
I know there are lots of opinions about letting kids be kids and I don't disagree with that but what I do think is we should help our children do as well as they can in their schools. That's why the Hubby and I supplement our children's school learning with home learning - we help where we can. We use apps like @smartickmethod that helps their maths. I've written about how we help our children's education over on the blog today http://www.morganprince.com/2017/11/supplement-school-learning.html.⠀ ⠀ Do you do extra homework with your kids or do you let them leave school at school? ⠀
Since the boys went back to school I've been trying to lose weight and so far I've been doing pretty well. It's all about counting the calories for me... oh and exercise. But funnily enough I've been enjoying getting on the treadmill and hitting my daily targets. Over on the blog I've written my health update for month 2 - here's how I've been getting on: http://www.morganprince.com/2017/11/health-update-month-2.html
This is me at about 6 years old... Look at that hair! I HATED it. For a very long time I hated so much about myself and it's taken a lot of effort to learn to LOVE myself. These days I like to focus on the good things about me, like how I LOVE my hair now. It's a colour that suits me, it's manageable even at a long length, and best of all it is SO me. ⠀ So often we wake in a morning, look in the mirror and hate our reflection. Today, over on the blog, I'm challenging you to find just 1 thing you LOVE about yourself. Will you take the challenge?⠀ I'd love to hear what you love about yourself?⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

Whenever I’m following a recipe I wonder why my meal didn’t turn out looking like the picture on the recipe. But with a bit of thinking I’ve worked out why... I wrote about it on the blog http://www.morganprince.com/2017/11/meal-not-like-recipe.html
I love getting hampers at Christmas, it's just so... special. Pulling the items out of a box and thinking how nice it will be when you get to eat/drink them. I was so pleased when I got to try out the @prestigehampersuk hamper - the cookies are SO tasty! 😍⠀ ⠀ What would be in your favourite luxury hamper?⠀
