Home, for now. Innsbruck Land. Moved a bit out of town and into a village close to the mountain foothills & the forest. Grateful for the view. And, on another note, once more it becomes obvious how special our forests are in Romania. Original, untouched forest is very, very rare in Europe. The feeling of being in such a forest is uncomparable and they need our protection. 🌲

We can only give what we own. We cannot give what we do not own. No matter how much we may wish for it, it's impossible to give attention, love, care, empathy to anOther (people, animals, plants, Nature) lest we own these qualities. That means we've mastered them to some degree. . This is why the repeated practice of tuning in with oneSelf is so precious and radical at the same time. . We practice listening, observing without judgment, without fear. The body as a metaphor ✨ . Our Universe, Nature, is inherently harmonious. We are surrounded by, and we ourselves are also living expressions of that inherent harmony.💫 . When we’re in conflict, tension, resistance, we’re preventing that natural flow of harmony. . When we open to it, it can inform and transform us. ⚡️ . In Awareness Through Movement we use the body as a metaphor to explore experientially, in the body, in movement, these much more subtle aspects of the mind. . We replace resistance to our challenges with nonjudgemental curiosity, acceptance and eventually genuine welcoming. Trusting the magic of new beginnings... The European living zig-zag continues with destination Innsbruck 🇦🇹. After 6 years in Portugal with winters spent in warm countries, continuing my Feldenkrais & Yoga education, it was time for something new. Mostly, time to pursue my dream, which in summary is proximity to mountains and further developing my Feldenkrais work. . This also means I’m located more centrally and can see you friends in central Europe & Romania more often! ❤️ . I’m staying at least until springtime and feel this place has the potential to become basecamp. . Wish me luck & come visit! 🍀🤗 . Lespezile Lirei 5B, 250m of climbing starting at 1800m altitude in Piatra Craiului. This climb has a special personal meaning to me and it was definitely the highlight of my time in Romania. Grateful for an amazing team, the challenge and the learning it has brought. . It was challenging physically - 2hrs steep uphill carrying all equipment, mentally - realizing the climb was challenging for all of us, then placing gear, and finally figuring out our descent on a nearby chimney and descending in the dark to drive back home. . Innominata 6A, 7 pitches at 1750m altitude was going to be the culmination of my time climbing in the Carpathians in Romania. It was a long day, carrying all material, food, water & sleeping gear for next night up to the refuge nearby. Then hiking up & eventually climbing some almost vertical grass & dirt😱 to reach the base of the climb. The wall, Peretele Vulturilor, is magnificent, imposing and also quite intimidating!! 👀😁 Our late start, the dark sky, strong wind with a forecasted rain front made it all even more intimidating. The climbing itself was beautiful, but it was too cold, so we rappelled down after the first 2 pitches. Great team with @valentin.matias.mozes & great experience nevertheless! 🙌🏽Looking forward to coming back! . . #climbing #feldenkrais #awarenessthroughmovement

Our bodies store so much more intelligence than our cognitive mind can grasp! As we learn to inhabit our bodies more fully, becoming more bodyfull (vs. mindful), we access the vast intelligence of the body and our Inner Life. We get in tune with Life energy itself. This practice can be as simple as a body scan, where we offer full presence to our lived experience in the moment, without judging it and without trying to change it. That means without imposing any distortive filters onto our bodily, lived reality, but rather developing empathy for anything that comes up. Sounds simple, yet we have so many layers of conditioning preventing us from fully, truly being in touch with the raw sensations of lived experience. That is why meditation and embodied awareness practices like yoga, feldenkrais, etc. can have such an overwhelmingly positive effect: it’s incredibly liberating to allow any and all sensations to be experienced freely without suppression, and to learn to observe and develop empathy for it all! Just by offering it this kind of listening, your body will massively shift its energy: tensions melt away and are replaced by a sense of inner connection. Because that is the end of conflict: no more inner conflict, which is the same as no more conflict with the flow of Life. When we give up fighting the ‘imperfection’ of the present moment and accept it as it is... we recognize it as a present 🎁. Perfect despite its imperfection. . Stepping out of the mind and its ‘perfect’ plans, to receive what is truly here for us, NOW. Most times it’s right under our nose. Starting with the breath. The situations we think are in our way, ARE THE WAY... . Calling in some wisdom as I’ve had a hard time applying this wisdom and understanding the bigger picture lately. So many plans canceled last moment in this past 1 month as I haven’t experienced in a few years’ time. Work wise, it’s been one misalignment after another. I’ve also been struggling with health issues, and even play-time plans have predominantly not worked out. . Unless we understand/ accept certain things, they keep repeating themselves in our life, until we do. Calling in the wisdom to make sense of it all - please Universe send it NOW 😂 . As I say this, I remember there’s always a Yin to the Yang ☯️ and there are countless blessings surrounding us, always. I’m off now, to focus persistently & consistently on all the good stuff! 😌😊❤️

Warriors of light - stay on track The practice is an opportunity to come back to yourself, to be fully there for your Inner Life. Learning to listen to the messages your body and its various centers of intelligence are sending you, and thus to experience being WHOLE & healed. From that inner harmony, then, outward harmony can be recognized and manifested. As inside, so outside. The way we perceive the outer world is a reflection of our inner world. We wanna work on the origin (in this case our perception, how we attribute meaning to everything), not on the symptoms (what we see as the world outside). A visual example is having a house with a rotten foundation (cause), which causes the walls to crack (symptom). Many people either don’t know the origin of their symptoms and mistake them for the actual problem. Or, they try to avoid the tedious job of taking the house apart to re-build the foundation: it’s too time-consuming, too expensive, too difficult, too painstaking, too something. So instead, they keep fiddling with the cracked walls: putting some plaster here and there, repeating the process, until eventually the structure one day will invariably collapse. The ‘plaster’ are all the escape strategies we use to avoid looking, feeling into the fears and pains that taint our perception. These escape strategies range from using distract-ion (DOING, being busy, overthinking) to food, alcohol, etc. Our house might just about resist, or it may come cracking down any moment. Either way, once we’ve gained some insight, we now KNOW we’re not addressing the real issue. We know we’re only mending, we’re only scratching the surface. No real satisfaction can live in that knowing, in the non-addressing. As long as we only focus on changing our circumstances, we’re missing the essence. When we’ve looked into our foundation, felt and lovingly recognized its decrepit state, scratched it up, re-layed it, we can now build our house back with no more cracks. We can, in fact, now even build something completely new if we want. The home of our dreams. INSIDE and, why not, outside as well.
