What is your go-to tip for boosting your confidence? 💁🏼♀️ I recently got asked about confidence boosters during a q+a and thought I would share some of my favorites here. 💓 Finding one thing in the mirror every morning that you like about yourself! It sounds cheesy, but it really helps divert your attention from anything you don’t like at the moment. Plus, positive self talk is so powerful and influences our confidence both in that moment and over time! It’s a form of self care 😌 🧠 Strengths-finder resources like Myers-Briggs, Enneagram, and Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, help you better understand yourself and the strengths you can offer the world! Tools like this have helped me understand why I am the way I am, and to feel more comfortable in my own skin. They help me to embrace my unique strengths rather than harping on my perceived weaknesses. 🧘🏼♀️ Working out regularly! Not necessarily to “look good,” but because when I workout I feel accomplished, empowered and energized 👊🏼 I’m much less likely to feel down on myself after I’ve done even a small workout or gone for a walk. 🗯 Giving compliments to others! Not only does this boost their confidence, but it boosts mine because I spoke up (and it makes me feel good too). 😏 Remembering that at the end of the day, people are most focused on themselves, not on you. Takes some pressure off 😉 I try to focus on my own happiness and things I love, and that’s helped me to have a more laissez faire approach to life (#idgaf). People are going to judge you regardless of what you’re doing or how you look, so don’t sweat it and keep your head high!

How many times a day do you find yourself saying, “I should be doing this” or “I should be doing that?” I find this mindset usually leads me to feeling guilty, especially when I try to take a break and rest. Heck, even when I’m getting in bed and need to be sleeping I’m still feeling guilty for not staying up and working more. One of my friends messaged me this evening (and I posted her exact words in my story), but she said she’s working to eliminate “SHOULD” from her vocabulary. Basically you NEED to [be doing something], or you WANT to, or nothing at all. Amazing, right?? Have you ever thought of it like this?? I’m going to try this out! For the first time EVER, I feel like my period isn’t controlling 25% of my life 🙌🏼 my mind was completely blown when I read “Womancode” last year and Alisa Vitti shared that your periods aren’t supposed to be painful and traumatic 🤯 When your hormones are balanced and your organs are thriving, your period should be just another week. Crazy, right?? Not what doctors told me for years as they switched me to yet another pill. If you’ve followed along for the past year you probably know I’ve been working hard at balancing my hormones post birth-control and it’s been a freaking JOURNEY. I have some blog posts in the works, but here are some quick tips... 📖 order the book Womancode off of Amazon right now! It changed my life and I learned so much about women’s health & hormones. 🥦🥕 Love on your liver! Our livers are vital to healthy detoxing of toxins and excess estrogen. They can get super bogged down by things like birth control, pesticides, and toxic chemicals in our products but we need them to be 💯. Be sure to incorporate cruciferous veggies, as well as purple cabbage and raw carrots into your diet. You guys also know I love a detox tea. 🍩🧁 quit your sugar habit! A sweet treat here & there or some quality dark chocolate are absolutely great, but you can’t expect to have balanced hormones if you’re jerking your blood sugar around with excess sugar intake. Sugar isn’t just in sweets though! Check sneaky things like nut butters, marinara, and salad dressings for added sugar. They sneak it in everything 🙄 🥑 don’t shy away from healthy fats! We need them for healthy hormones. Avocado, olive oil, nuts, chia seeds, seafood, etc. and I also love a fish oil or cod liver oil supplement. 🧴🧼 clean up your products! Did you know our skin is our biggest organ? So, it absorbs everything that touches it from cleaning products to your makeup and skincare. Toxins in our products contribute heavily to imbalanced hormones over time. Happy Labor Day friends! How did you spend your day?? 🌞 I’m often guilty of rushing my way through my days, not really pausing to check in with myself or to be grateful for the day. So today I took the day to rest and catchup a bit. I went for a 2 mile walk + did an at-home workout, cooked a couple of delicious, healthy meals, watched lots of Outlander and am catching up on some photo editing. I didn’t even put on makeup or get in my car to go anywhere, which was the perfect day for me! However your day was spent, I hope you got to invest in yourself and slow life down a bit!
