Look who decided to hang out in front of my tire while I was launching the boat! Luckily I saw him before I pulled out.
Check out this 22” kokanee that Cindy Isham caught out of 11 Mile!
The new green stinger from Radical Glow has been a hot Kokenee Lure on Blue Mesa reservoir! Make sure to get some and give them a try!
When you hook a nice brown and get him close to the boat, only to see him come off and leave you with this! I never had that brown hooked, only what was in his mouth 😝
Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all of those who serve or have served this great nation!
Blue Mesa Fishing Report: Salmon fishing is still very good! Fish are in good numbers in every basin and seem to be showing up all throughout the water column depending on which basin you are in. Some good depths have been the surface to 25 feet deep and 40 to 60 feet deep. We have been having a lot of success on pink, orange, white, green, and multicolored spinners and squids from Rocky Mountain Tackle, Radical Glo, and GVF Lures as well as some others. There are a lot of smaller brown trout and Lake Trout mixed in with the deeper salmon. We encourage you to keep your limit of sub 14 inch Brown’s as there is an over abundance in the lake. Remember that the daily bag limit for salmon is five fish and if you hook a smaller salmon and it’s not going to make it, don’t throw it back in the lake for the birds. Be safe and have a great Memorial Day weekend!
Rachel wanted to take the last 20 mins of our trip to try for a lake trout and wouldn’t you know it, she hooked one in less than 10 mins! Some girls have all the luck ☘️!
Trophy lake trout Fishing leaves no room for error. When clients are on the boat, I have to have a hook I can trust! The penetration I see on a 20+ year old fish from a Trokar hook is incredible!
This spring produced some beautiful browns!
