My first proper experience with detachable collars was @turnbull_asser shirt from their more casual Informalist line. I especially loved the fact that I had 3 ways of wearing a shirt for the price of one. _____________________ This is one my recent detachable collar shirts from Nakhle shirtmakers. I went with a Sic. Tess. light blue linen puppytooth fabric with a semi-spread and club collar.
Inspiration comes from everywhere- in this case I was inspired by “The great Wave of Kanagawa” by Hokusai. Besides the final card holder being the same colour, I wanted to emulate the use of straight lines and curves. _____________________ For the final prototype I moved the curve to the lower panel. This makes it visible even when the cards are inserted and makes it easier to remove the front card.
Thank you all for your continued support! I wish you all the best in 2018. I hope that you will achieve and even surpass whatever goals you have set out! 2017 was quite a journey for me. I moved from London to Florence to pursue my passion in #Leathercraft. While there I was also able to experience #pittiuomo first hand. I am completely enamoured by Italy. Especially with the people, food, culture and style. I am sure I will be back very soon. 2018 has another huge change in store. I am moving back down under to Australia and eventually moving to Melbourne. It will be interesting to see what 2018 has in store for me. For now I’ll just go with the flow and see what opportunities show up and where life will take me.
It seems I like vintage and striped ties🤔 All packed up to be rediscovered in 6months to a year. 👋🏼😭😢
I purchased the @velascamilano Artista boot a few weeks back and wanted to put them through their paces before writing my final review. TLDR PROS:Well packaged and presented. High quality Suede. Overall finishing comparable to English made shoes. CONS:Lining quality not quite as high as English made shoes. You can feel the Blake stitching from the inside. Shoe laces feel flimsy compared to the boots. Link in Bio for the full review.
