Alright guys, I’m about to get REAL real. Since we moved across the country, my husband hasn’t been paid. YUP. He’s our main source of income (I provide the majority of the childcare for our 3 babies), and has been working full time and hasn’t been paid since August! That’s 4 paychecks and reimbursement for moving. We are still waiting on the military to get its act together, but IN THE MEAN TIME, you guys have SINGLE HANDEDLY kept my family afloat. I am so so grateful for you all! So to all my clients this year: THANK YOU. Thank you for having faith in me to capture beautiful photos for your family. Thank you for letting me be a part of your family story. Thank you for paying me and keeping my family fed while we make this huge transition. You guys are the best, and I’m super SUPER grateful. For those of you cheering me on or sending me referrals, THANK YOU. So, send some good vibes to the Air Force finance offices because they could obviously use some help 🤣 And share some good news with me while we wait to get paid!! What are you thankful for this season? P.S. I’m so nervous posting this, because people hate to talk about money! But money is real and important so I want to be cool with talking about it!
Two years later and they’re more in love than ever 💗 I love photographing Kandace and Joel, they have so much fun and are so sweet! Anniversary sessions are a great way to celebrate all the awesome life and memories you have made since you said “I do”!
My favorite ways to get to know people are: playing board games, talking late into the night around a campfire, and doing some crazy fun activity like paddle boarding or hiking. (Enneagram 7 over here 🤣) What is your favorite way to get to know someone? Side note: I love this location I found! Let’s get some fall photos done before it snows again!!
The kids and I did some location scouting and it SNOWED. In September! We skipped straight from summer to winter! What a wild week! How is your fall going so far?
This summer was an absolute blur. I thought I was busy when I took this beautiful photo, but the craziness was just beginning! I had one of the busiest summers for my business to date, then in August, with two weeks notice (thanks Air Force), we moved literally from one corner of the country to the other. We lived with family for a month and a half (no small feat for a family with three busy babies!) bought a house, did some hasty projects to make it livable, AND my oldest started Kindergarten!! 😳😅 I feel like I’ve been sprinting for two months, and the to-do list is still miles long! So for now, I’m going to unpack one box at a time, and give grace for all of the things that are just going to take TIME. Is anyone else in an insanely busy season??
Hey friends! Samantha here. My family is in the middle of our big crazy move, staying with family and doing some serious house hunting (which is exactly as absolutely insane as it sounds). I’m excited to get back to some semblance of normal! Things should start settling down toward the end of the month. I’m seriously contemplating doing some fall mini sessions this year so I can get to know the local community! Do you like doing fall mini sessions with your family?
•BIG NEWS• We’re moving back to Spokane, WA! After five beautiful years on the Emerald Coast, we are moving home to Washington State at the end of July! I am so excited for this new adventure, and can’t wait to sink some roots into the Inland Northwest. What fun new things have popped up in Spokane in the last five years?? Can’t wait!
When someone perfectly executes a dip 🤩🥰 Swipe to see their sweet baby girl! Cutest family 💗
How beautiful is this mama?? I made her sneak away from her 2 year old and husband to get a few portraits by herself, pregnancy feels like forever but it’s really such a short, beautiful time and definitely deserves to be captured 💫
Did you know only 2% of the population has green eyes? 💚 I love seeing people with this rare trait, probably because it’s one of the first things I noticed about my husband. We barely knew each other, and were chatting, hanging out with friends, and I stopped suddenly and said “oh my gosh, your eyes are so green 😍”. Brad’s horrible at accepting compliments so he IMMEDIATELY exited the conversation. Haha, but I still get starry eyed about his green eyes!! Do you have a green-eyed loved one? 💚
Happy Father’s Day!! This is a photo of my dad, the man I call Papa. Last summer I took one of the cameras my mom had bought for fun at a garage sale, and ran a roll of film through it capturing portraits of my family. This is one of my all time favorite photos of my dad, his happy cheesy smile, by the water (his favorite place). I’ve been so inspired lately by @jonathancanlas (he’s been on two different podcasts that I listen to!), he just came out with a new course on personal work and reminded me that at the end of the day, the photos that will matter to me most are the ones I take of my own family. I love making photos that you cherish of your loved ones, and I know I need to keep making photos of my people, my loved ones, and my home 🏡💗
Windswept hair, sandy toes, and love love love, bright as the sunshine ☀️
Two beautiful clients of mine have spent their babymoon at the @pearlrb hotel, what a gorgeous getaway right?? It’s right across the lawn from the beautiful crystal clear emerald beach. Rosemary Beach is such a perfect place to getaway with your loved ones for some quality time relaxing in paradise! Did you have a babymoon? What is your favorite place to vacation?
I entered this photo of my daughter in the @shootandshare contest in the “Share Joy” category! The image made it into the top 10% of the contest! I mean, I’m biased but I get why 😍🤩 she’s the cutest! See how the rest of my photos placed in my stories!
YOU GUYS. I’m surviving on DayQuil but I think I’m finally returning to the land of the living. I’ve been sick all week with everything from food poisoning to all body hives to a horrible head cold throughout. I’ve been absolutely useless this week, luckily I have an amazing husband who has been single handedly keeping our crazy busy life from falling into shambles. I’ll be returning emails today and getting things back into order! Thank you all for being so patient with me. Has anyone else been hit with a wave of sicknesses? I’m ready for some healthy days!! And BEACH days 🤩🌊☀️
