Since I was a tiny little thing with scabby knees and pigtails, I remember LOVING everything summertime. ☀️ My very first memory of the season was the summer of ’94, when my mother dropped my cousin and me at the grocery store where grandma was working. My grandma worked cleaning stores and houses and she will get up very early to finish work before noon so she could spent the rest of the day with us. ✨ It was pretty much the same routine everyday. My mom will work the afternoon shift, my aunt night shift and my grandma will get up at 4am to start cleaning. 💪 You see friends, I grew up with my abuela, my aunt and mom. Three single mothers that couldn't afford summer camp, taking breaks from work, video games or trips to the beach. BUT there were always picnic by the river and hours and hours of fun chasing butterflies. 🦋 So today sitting here enjoying a little picnic with my baby girl, watching her giggling after chickens I'm grateful. Grateful for this job that gives me the ability to work from anywhere, grateful for the people that believe in me to capture their memories, grateful for my supported husband @vitalilavryk, grateful for these three amazing women that raised me. 🙌🏻 And to all you working single mothers, I see you friend and I tip my hat to you. Your strength inspires me.
I cannot believe that in just a few weeks this little one is gonna be 6. If I’m being totally honest I’m really dreading Minka’s sixth birthday. Six is a big number , she is not a toddler anymore, she is not a preschooler anymore . It is really confusing wanting her to grow and thrive, but wishing time will slow down and she could stay little a little longer. There are days when I cannot believe that this precious girl is mine, just look at her 😍 Im so thankful that she was the one that make me a mama. She is so much like daddy, she is fun, sweet, smart and beautiful ... and she makes my heart so full 😍😍😍

Back from doctor apt and thankfully everything is looking fine. Despite the gestational diabetics, my constant stuffed nose and asthma, this 👶 is growing healthy and strong 🎊😊. So off to celebrate the good news with some virgin #pinacolada 🍍🥥 Taking a little break this afternoon to recharge my 🤰🏻 batteries and play tourist with my hubby before our smelling, screaming and pooping bundle of joy arrive😂
