Home from Mexico, and I'm obsessed with EVERY. SINGLE. PHOTO. Cat was the prettiest bride and I can't wait to share their wedding! Check back - it will be on the blog soon! ❤️❤️
When the bride is done getting ready and she turns to her momma (her maid of honor, her grandmother, or whoever is helping her get into her wedding gown) is always one of my favorites moments. Seeing the look on their faces as they finally see her as a bride is so beautiful. . So many of these beautiful moments on a wedding day make me realize that time is so fleeting. One day - sooner than I want to realize - I'll be helping my baby girl into her own wedding gown...and watching the groom dance with his momma during the mother/son dance makes me realize that one day my boys will sweep me up on the dance floor while I cry all the happy tears into their grown-up shoulders. . These moments so perfectly stopped in time with my babies will be priceless to me someday. So when I'm photographing a wedding, looking for those fleeting moments for my couples is not only part of my job, but really important to me. I see moments like this one of the bride's momma looking at her and imagine the couple's children one day looking through the wedding album, seeing their beautiful grandma, and talking about the day their parents promised each other forever. . What a joyful gift photography is ❤️
Korey was Roseanna’s first ever crush. When she was 9 and he was 13, she remembers seeing him at her sister’s 8th grade graduation party and feeling those little butterflies of nerves because THE boy was there…the boy she knew even at 9 years old that she wanted to marry. Their wedding day, and the rest of their story, is on the blog and I'm so, SO happy for my friend!! Link in bio!
Pro tip - Do an engagement session! You get to call your significant other your fiance for such a short time in your life, so why not celebrate that? They go from boyfriend or girlfriend, to husband or wife, so quickly that this special time can be forgotten just as fast as it came. . Not only that, but doing an engagement session with the same photographer that will be taking your wedding photos is super important! It give you a chance to get comfortable in front of my (or their) camera, as we all work differently - and if you've ever had professional photos taken before, you know how important it is to feel comfortable in front of a camera. Additionally, it will give me (or your photographer) a chance to see how you interact with each other so I can photograph you and your amazing love, as authentically as possible ❤️❤️❤️
