Let the birthday season begin. This is my first #glutenfree yellow cake, with my newly created milk chocolate frosting. Sprinkles hide a multitude of sins as my hand accidentally swiped my frosting decorations that were perfect (not now). @oxo has a new bakers decorating tool that is awesome. Better than piping bags.
I feel like this is almost a retro dish featuring bow tie pasta of the 90's. 👩🏻🍳 But wait it's still really good. It gives lots of surface for this pistachio pesto 💚💚and there is chicken in there making this an awesome school night family dinner. 😉 My tip for adding creaminess is pasta broth. The starchy broth works wonders for not only expanding the pesto but serving as a thickener.
Swiss chard is so pretty!
Don't let summer go by without making 🍅tomato jam. #ontheblog
My love for white vessels has no end. One important thing when using white is using texture. This tablescape can easily be decorated by the season. 🌷⛄️🍁💐The three in this photo and the two in last pic came from @westelmnash. They would be boring though if I didn't mix it up. I painted a piece of barn wood for the center and used mixed w all $1 vases. #westelmstyle #decorhome
Orzo pesto, chicken thighs, neither a hard nor complex dinner but it perked up a rainy Monday. #linkinbio
Pistachio pesto. A much better replacement for pine nuts than walnuts. Recipe this week I promise! Posted in blog under pistachio pesto.
In keeping with the @tomatoartfest spirit let me tell you about this tart originally on @davidlebovitz blog. (Now on mine too 😉). It's a french tart crust with a layer of Dijon mustard and herbs under the tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅and topped with goat cheese. It's a heavenly bite. I've made this again and again for years. summer only with farm fresh tomatoes from Burns produce and @noblespringsdairy goat cheese. Can be found at spinach tiger under french tomato tart.
