Happy National Hug Day! Did you know that some researchers say you need at least 8 hugs a day and that hugs can help with healing sickness, disease, loneliness, depression, anxiety, and stress. Which basically means, getting enough hugs can make you happier!! It’s so crazy but still so amazing that a hug can have that much power! Be sure to squeeze your loved ones a little tighter, after all it is good for your health 😊 Here’s to more hugs in 2019!
Surprised to see a Christmasy post mid January?? Well, it’s been Christmas in our home everyday this year, but it finally ends today... Christmas, we held on as long as we could! But the tree is starting to look a little sad and we finally have a chunk of time to take it all down. 🎄 So tonight, as one last hurrah, it’s time for our Christmas De-Decorating Party! 🎁 Traditional Christmas Radio on Pandora ✅ All the Christmas candles burning ✅ Eggnog in my Wally World glass ✅ Best Christmas Ever sweater ✅ New Christmas Minnie Ears ✅ Christmas spirit to last all year ✅ 🎄 Now to figure out which Christmas movie we didn’t get to on our list and watch it while we take all the decorations down and put them away until next time... 😩 See you in a few months Christmas! 🎅🏻 Ps Am I the only one with their decorations still up?? Or where yours down ages ago? 😅
So thankful for friends who will laugh with you, listen to your problems, dream with you, encourage your endeavors, and make you beautiful things for your anniversary photo shoot! I met Sarah of @landlcreative through this little app because I reached out to her about collaborating with me on my first styled shoot and of course a friendship grew from there! It has been so nice having someone to bounce ideas off of and who makes life beautiful and fun as such a dear friend! Tonight we went out for Thai food, ordered the same yellow curry, and then laughed as we told the guy at Peet’s Coffee our identical orders with the same name. He called out “the Sarah’s” and we laughed again! 🤣 Sarah, thanks for being such a great friend! I am so thankful for you and I’m so excited for what this year has in store for you!!! 💖 Friends, if you have someone in your life that you’re thankful for, tell them!! So often I hear people bragging on their friends to other people, but how much more powerful would it be to actually tell your friend!? Feel free to tag them here to let know know what you love and appreciate about them, or just shoot them a text! 🎉 Ps this is the verse that Eli and I have engraved inside our wedding bands! We thought it was fitting for our 10 year anniversary shoot with @jameswitty & @jessfairchild 💍
Day 2 of rainy, windy, stormy weather, and this California girl is already ready for sun! 🌞 Golden hour, the time before sunset when the light feels so magical in the sky, is one of my favorite times of day! Especially on a wedding day!! It’s such a beautiful time to capture intimate bridal portraits and allows my couples to soak in the fact that they just married their best friend! 👰🏻 But for now, I just consider this a preview of what the weather might be like in Paris, so I count it all joy! ☔️ Do you like rainy days? Or do you live for the sunshine?
Double tap if you agree that rainy days are perfect for staying in and cuddling! ☔️ It’s rained practically all day and I’m not at all mad about it! Maybe a little bummed that I wasn’t able to spend the whole day curled up on the couch with a book lol and trying to force my kitty to cuddle with me 🤪 What’s your favorite rainy day activity?? And better yet, who’s your favorite cuddle buddy?!
Happy Monday!! We made it through the first day of this week! Getting back to the grind after a full weekend can sometimes be hard for me. Can anyone relate?? 😅 Over the weekend we had date night, Mario Party hangs with my family, church, celebrated my nephew’s 4th birthday, and spent time with Eli’s family! While it was a weekend full of activities and a busy schedule, it was also full of some of my favorite things: family, quality time, laughter, and yummy food! Plus I got to squeeze my niece and nephews, which definitely makes this auntie’s heart happy! 💖 While I am still working on figuring out balance in life and work, I am reminding myself of the things that will really matter to me when I’m 80 years old. Which will be the memories I made with family and friends, travels, being the best aunt I can be! Not how a certain post performs on Instagram or what the people in the cheap seats think of me. If at the end of my life I can confidently know that I loved and served my people well and traveled the world, I’ll know I led a very successful life! 🗺 So tell me friends, what is your definition of success? 🎉
