I think being a bridesmaid is much more tiring on a wedding day than being the planner. And I know my team doesn’t agree 😂 I mean my feet are dead either way, but as a planner I don’t drink all day and the adrenaline actually makes it hard to sleep even after 15+ hours. Bridesmaids who make it through the whoooole day and even to the after party are mvps. 📷 by @letsnguyen #squadgoals #omahawedding #bbebride

4ish years ago, I was wedding planning, studying for finals, finishing up a capstone project, finding a job, looking for an apartment - it was a lot. And then, 3 months before graduation... my whole dorm building caught fire. 🔥 And everything came to a screeching halt. I didn’t even know what to think or do other than make sure that all my friends were all right - we were, thank goodness. After we all found eachother and watched the flames burn (through the roof and lots of our stuff) for hours, we had to somehow go to sleep for the night and then finish up the rest of the semester. The next day, my friends and I were piled into the living room of a new temporary dorm (next door to the old one 😬) just looking around at eachother because we no longer had furniture, tvs, board games or anything to pass the time. We ended up playing a hilarious game of charades and I came to realize that people and moments are what matter and we were so lucky that nothing happened to any one of us. But that was kind of the wake up call/catalyst moment/reason why BBE exists because after the craziness that was wedding planning AND trying to graduate AND figuring out what to do with no stuff AND moving into a new place (with way less stuff now so that made it easy 😂), it didn’t seem right to work the next 40 years not loving what I do. Like why did I go through all this stuff to now be too scared/lazy/unmotivated to try starting a business? And that’s the really condensed version of how BBE started. I almost miss the startup days because I had this drive to create something amazing with no fear and no expectations. Nothing could happen with BBE that would be worse than a literal fire so it was an incredible time of new beginnings all around. For everyone that’s stuck around since the beginning, supported from afar, watched our journey, and became BBE couples, THANK YOU. This is a reminder that everyone starts somewhere, you don’t have to wait for a fire to do something great, and it’s really incredible to see what happens when you create goals and stick to them. 💕 Thanks for reading this long, weird story. PS we have a few more spots available for 2019! 📷 by @an_photographer
We’re off to a weird start but that’s ok! I haven’t had a meal at home since last Friday. Been eating out for every meal. 🙈 Excited to get back to normal today and officially start working on 2019 goals!
Trying to do some personal and business goal setting for 2019 before hanging with friends tonight so I’ve grabbed my Believe oil for a boost. It does wonders in pulling me back into a mindset of positivity, abundance, and possibility. Goal setting is really daunting for me this year because 2018 seemed like it flew by with lots of good things happening but also a lot of time spent on keeping afloat and not as much growing/personal development. 🌱 So, I made a pretty roller to carry around with me at all times because #itscute and I do need to feel #confidentaf at all times but especially now while ringing in the new year! A positive mindset is the first step to achieving big things. You can’t start something with the intent or assumption of failure because that won’t get you towards achieving anything. Instead, create goals that are big but within the realm of possibility for you and work towards them like you have nothing to lose. #believe #creativelifehappylife
