While we work towards freedom for exploited people every day, we remember today-especially- that freedom is never free. ⠀ ⠀ Thank to our veterans and those who continue to serve for our freedoms. Lest We Forget.
We want to take a moment to express our gratitude to @amethystcrystalbeauty, one of our donors who supports the work we do to end human trafficking. ⠀ ⠀ For her wedding season this year, Stephanie decided to donate all her tips from the brides she worked with, proving that everyone can do something for Justice and to make the world better for all of us! ⠀ ⠀ Thank you Stephanie, you are an inspiration!
On Tinder, Instagram, Bumble, Grinder, Facebook and every other social media platform or dating app out there, traffickers use technology to lure their victims. ⠀ ⠀ Make sure you are talking to your children about online safety, monitoring who they are talking to and educating yourself about human trafficking to keep them safe! ⠀ ⠀ For more information on how traffickers prey online, send us a DM or email to email@example.com to set up a workshop for your friends or community.
Indigenous women are over represented in human trafficking cases and all other forms of domestic or racially charged violence in Canada. ⠀ ⠀ Many of the women who are missing and murdered are also victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation so if we want to take MMIW seriously, which we must, we must also address human trafficking and work to see an end to both simultaneously. ⠀ ⠀ Photo by @sunny_redbear
Protecting young people is our top priority. As human trafficking rates increase throughout the country we are on a mission to educate every school, every community center, every church, every hotel and everyone we can so that exploitation does not continue in our Canada.
