Throw back from 2014. Have you ever been to the @gaylordoprylandresort in Tennessee? It is a super beautiful resort with an inside garden, waterfalls, and river. Count yourself lucky if you ever get to stay here!! My husband and I just did a walk around and ride around the river. It is stunning resort. Have you ever made a stop here, better yet have you ever stayed here? What was it like?
I thought I would do some throw backs, but while I am at it, I thought I’d talk about how you travel and why you follow certain travel bloggers. _ _ _ It was discussed today in my Girls Love Travel group, how a lot of women pose for their photos. It gives people a lot of unrealistic ideas of travel. If you look through my photos most of them are real and there are a few my husband did take and they may be posed. I never go as far as packing makeup, extra clothes, and my hair isn’t normally done up. No one looks perfect after they have just hiked up a hill or mountain! No ones hair is that perfect! No one hikes in cute clothes! Look at me in this picture my hair is up in a bun. My hair is fuzzy, I’m sweaty, and I don’t wear make up when I’m going on a hike or doing a lot of walking. It’s just not practical and it’s not real. _ _ _ Social media gives us a false image a lot of the time. Don’t compare your lives to other or your pictures. They don’t have it all together. None of us do. Yes the prettier, the more put together, perfect picture gets more likes, but most of the time that’s not real life....with all that being said there is no wrong or right way to do traveling. Do it the way it makes you happy, but remember don’t put yourself down by looking at these pictures where you think these people live perfect lives because they don’t. _ _ _ Picture from my time in England in 2013. I’m so ready for an international trip. It’s killing me! Why do you follow certain travel bloggers?
What is the craziest or scariest thing to happen to you while traveling? Maybe nothing bad, but maybe it was just an uncomfortable trip? Read these 5 horrible travel stories and how they made it through. Maybe you can learn from their experiences. Link in bio. _ _ _ Have you encountered bed bugs, spiders, a bad Airbnb, bad host, discrimination? Use your story in my series and get your word out there. Thank you to everyone who submitted their story. If you have one please contact me through ChasaTravels.com or any of my social medias? _ _ _ What story was your favorite or your least favorite?? What story would you not want to experience. Leave your answer down in the comments.
I love the Cahaba River Refuge. A beautiful hike/walk to the overlook. A nice drive down to the river. I love watching the snails! There were tiny tiny baby snails. Scroll to see more pictures and watch the video! I can’t wait to see those fall colors in the trees though!
Nice view of the Sipsey River off of Jeans on the river! Just ate with the family for lunch there today! I love the dilly burgers! Oh if you want to find out more about Jeans on the river you can use the link in my bio and search The Best Local Places to Eat in Alabama.
