When you travel, do you travel to warm or cold areas? Alabama hardly ever gets any snow! Oh but my backyard was about 5-6inches! This was also Marshy’s first snow! My husband and I have been exploring @ruffnermt lately. Last time we found lots of salamanders. Ruffner Mountain has a quarry overlook. You are supposed to be able to find fossils down there. Over Thanksgiving weekend we made our way to Ebenezer Swamp a couple different times. We saw four different types of woodpeckers: Red-bellied, Red-headed, Hairy, and Sapsucker. Limestone is a preserve where a lot of birdwatchers/photographers go to take pictures of birds,plants, insects, and other parts of nature. _ _ _ You can walk through the trails that are cut out for you or you can walk out on the board walk. But please do not walk in the areas that “look grown up”.
