Sometimes we find our soulmates in the strangest of ways. Do you know how Casey and I met? Back in high school, I had met a guy at a costume party and I was dating somebody else but he was sweet and I was being kind back and gave him a dance. This guy ended up walking or riding his bike almost 6 miles to come to my house multiple times only for me to turn him away because I didn't find myself attracted to him in the least bit. My dad started intervening as soon as he got to our drive and would tell him to go home. After a few weeks of this, he apparently got tired of walking or biking and bummed a ride from a neighbor kid. That neighbor kid was Casey. I remember opening the front door and rolling my eyes, about to slam the door in this guy's face when out of the darkness steps this tall, dark and handsome guy that I immediately wanted to know. The next day, Casey had made up an excuse that he had left his hat at my house and the guy that bummed a ride gave him my phone number. Fate works in mysterious ways. But I'm most thankful that God knows what's best for us and leads us to the people who will forever change our lives.
Wherever your footprints in the sand will go, I'll follow. Just got home from this dreamy lakeside engagement.

This week's before/after: When my bride has a special request, I do my best to make it epic. I'd say the after makes a statement, how about you? ❤️ Swipe to see the before. 💋 Yours Truly, Sara
My favorite thing about weddings is the raw emotions that come from everyone. I see fathers fighting back tears, moms screaming for joy, grooms stepping back in awe of their brides, bridesmaids hugging each other while the couple dances, laughter from grandparents as toasts are made... 😍 A wedding isn’t made over the course of the engagement. It’s made over a lifetime of love and support. Families come together and traditions are continued while new traditions are created. ❤️ Even though it’s about the bride and groom and the love they share, it’s also about all those people who have helped shape them into the spouse they are about to become. 🌸 Happy Thursday, loves! Yours truly , Sara
